What I feel strongly about after tonight's match is that Averi Carlson has to be on the service line for us every match! She had a lot of aces during her time playing for Baylor, and her serves do cause the opponents problems.

So far my theory holds- when Reagan plays well, we win.
So far I don't hate the 6-2 but I'm sorry that squeezes Akana on playing time

Madi Skinner will have a generational game against Baylor tomorrow and the future of NCAA Volleyball will be in her hands once again. she definitely buckled down during the 3rd

When they showed the graphic before the end of the 3rd set that Texas led Baylor 91-4 in all time games, I was stunned.
I was also equally stunned to find out I was actually at 1 of the 4 games where Texas lost (all in Waco). That was my first away game ever, as a fan of Texas Volleyball.

And to be running a 6-2 and still leave Wenaas in the back? Well, JE's 1-0 with it, so what do I know?

Devin's swing looks great and she puts a lot of heat on the ball, but she gets dug or block touched so much
Is it shot selection??

She's just gonna hammer it through! But the players on the other side aren't short setters. I'm a Devin fan, but she's gotta actually have a plan rather than just an arm swing!

I don't remember that many of Halter's bump sets the prior two seasons being so tight to the net like they have been the first 7 matches this season.

After the second set, one of the TV analysts asked Jerritt how they planned to use Akana as she had come in late that second set to serve for Skinner. He made it sound like the only option would be late in a set because otherwise they'd run out of subs. Is that accurate?

I'd be interested to see the pass grading for this match. I thought Jenna held it down back there tonight

He made it sound like the only option would be late in a set because otherwise they'd run out of subs. Is that accurate? Well in a 6-2, there’s 2 subs in the 4th rotation, and 2 subs after the 6th rotation when they’re back in rotation 1. And the Liberos/DS ‘s are subbing out the MB’s in the backrow. I’m not good at math but if Elliot is saying it, it’s true as there are only 15 subs per set.
