This will be an insane weekend in Austin so I can only imagine how pumped up the crowd will be on Friday. I hope they're doing a lot of publicity for folks to come to the game on Friday before the huge game against Georgia on Saturday. Will be interesting to see how Arkansas handles the crowd. Football recruits coming in for the Georgia game will have a blast over the weekend.

I wouldn't be surprised if Choboy decides to leave Nebraska, only because they'll have Mauch and then Lembach coming in, who's also apparently a stud. choboy may leave Nebraska, but I am almost certain she won't be coming to Texas. IIRC she took an official visit when she decommitted from Minnesota, but we didn't have any scholarships. . . did something happen (other than the 2023 Natty lol). Or do you mean she is going to want to go somewhere where playing bro is more certain, vs. fighting with Halter et al

I def need to caveat that I don't believe she would come here either tbh and that wasn't me trying to comment that I would like her to come to Texas either She did visit though before committing to Nebraska (after decommitting from Minnesota)

Like Ayden, Abby played USA U19, but she also was moved up to the U21 when a junior in hs. Macaria played one season of U19 in a limited role and may not be ready to be a starter. Ayden, Abby, and Harvey played together in U19 and UANext in 2024. Abby was MVP multiple times. All of the U19 starters this year have done really well for their teams. Abby could definitely be a starter.

Whoa wtf lol I was asking a legitimate question, the claws were definitely retracted 😅😅😅 But yes I’m not one to shy away from confrontation when it’s presented to me. But honestly I just wanna know if Byrd is injured. Helmers I feel like was recovering from something(idk if I’m remembering correctly), and idk if Tomkinson is there strength wise, so I just wanted to know if people project her that she slates into one of the open pin slots or are the incoming pins more likely to secure a spot? There’s just a ton of talent on this team already when the seniors graduate so I have no idea where the current redshirt freshmen match up with the 2025 freshmen. Byrd had an ankle injury last year (in a boot for basically the entire season) and Helmers had shoulder surgery. But they both appear to have recovered and played in Spring / Europe tour / exhibition matches. Tomkinson is an interesting case IMO. In terms of next year, she is behind Devin on the depth at OPP (assuming Whitney moves to OH), so you would expect her to play in a 6-2 or be first off the bench at OPP in a 5-1. But IDK if the depth of talent at OH (Whit/AVW/Spears/Byrd/Helmers) means that one of other OHs would push her further down the list? Plus we have Addison Gaido coming in, who is also a lefty OPP and apparently tearing sh!t up this season. Thank you! Damn that has to be the deepest amount of depth in the country next season.

A lot can happen between this coming offseason and the November 2025 signing period for the class of 2026 recruits, but it would not surprise me if one of Nebraska's two verbally committed recruits from the state of Texas pulls an Ayden Ames and flips to Texas. I say that due to the new increased scholarship limits, and that we will most likely see some attrition in December/January.
In the past, when Jerritt has been asked why he didn't recruit or sign certain in-state recruits, he basically says "we can't sign them all" due to scholarship limits. That will always be the case, but I think the increase in scholarships will allow for us to pursue/sign a couple more in-state recruits.

The likelihood a 26 will crack the lineup right away is very slim, especially based on the talent in the gym.

I think 2026 OH Henley Anderson will be a starter at Texas from day one since Kahahawai and Lauenstein will be gone; Spears and Vander Wal should be the other starting pins that season. Of course, that could change if any incoming transfer pins are added to the roster.

Alex Loeb (ex LHN) is calling the SMU-Stanford match. I bet we see more of him for other Texas schools. My friend who used to work at LHN told me a lot of the crew was likely still working regionally for ESPN.

I would expect that to happen as they should be an experienced crew and the events still need a crew. I'm just surprised Loeb hasn't done any Texas matches on SECN. With 5 in a row at home, that might change.

I guess my question is, is 2 years at top 10 team better than 4 years playing at a top 11-25 team? Does it depend on their after college plans?
