My projected lineup for tonight is:
Setter - Carlson Opposite - Rutherford OH - Skinner (all 6 rotations) OH - Wenaas (all 6 rotations) MB - Singletary MB - Ames
Not sure if our serving subs will continue as they have, or if Akana will simply come in for Rutherford to serve and play all 3 back row rotations. I'd actually like to see Devin come to serve for Rutherford and be available for a D-ball attack. Someone has to serve for the MB; I guess it could be Emerick.

god this is gonna sound so hater but ive just seen so many posts on here and instagram and tiktok about it now and i need to rant about something other than the events last night: Texas went on one of the craziest serving tears in NCAA history, combined with the fact Skinner way head and shoulders the best player in the country, combined with the fact we had a sixth year USNT middle that was blocking everything in sight, but yes, let’s just keep reiterating that Swindle is a proven winner. that’s clearly the case even though she has the worst bad set rate of any T25 setter and looked as if she was actively getting worse. literally who is going to be able to score points if Swindle is setting? Madi has struggled IMMENSELY off of her, Rutherford went cold before averi was setting her, Jenna’s only really looked good off of Carlson sets, the middles error at crazy rates off of her… it’s a 6-2 or a Carlson 5-1. swindle has played herself out of a 5-1 this season, sorry not sorry.

the ingredients to repeat last years crazy run just aren’t here this season. we haven’t seen the signs of them. the times we did finally see signs of a team that could go far were in the 6-2. I just don’t know why we gave up on the 6-2 before trying Binney for Swindle in it.

Don't I wish. This is a rebuilding year, so I think some of the expectations were unrealistic. But I also want them to smash the competition, human nature, I guess. A rebuilding year ? What would you consider next year then lol?? This season they returned starting outsides, setter, libero, ds, and an upgrade at setting and oppo through the portal. Shouldn’t be much of a rebuilding year imo Yes, for lack of a better term. We lost 2 middle blockers, only OPP, and a DS, and Asjia contributed much more than just her skills. The middles are very good but inexperienced. The transfers are new to this team, system and process regardless of experience. We will have the same situation next year if the younger p!layers don't get some playing time. We will lose 2 OH and 1 OPP, and 1 DS. Transfers are great but it doesn't mean they're the right fit. So yes we will be in the same situation next year hopefully with better results. Why are you so angry? Think about Madisen's development, she played OPP, then 2nd OH, then OH. Who is being developed like that, now? Emma was DS for a full season before becoming Libero.

We know Jenna can play 6ro, but no one else has experience back row. I'm scarred by the seasons where ball control has been a struggle and JE doesn't make changes until they're on the brink of losing in the tournament. I like having a serving sub for the middle regardless, and if it's not Devin (because I'm struggling with the idea of not having her serve regularly), why not someone who can help out with passing?

From what I remember she was one of the top defensive players in high school, so I hope she'll continue to play and improve this season.

If you think Swindle not setting is making the team lose then you are delusional, the only thing she has over Averi is a bigger block. Averi runs a better offense by miles.
I’m sick of her fans in the IG comments acting like Averi is the problem when it’s really just the passing.

Not making anything up. She was the six rotation player for UK last season and she lost that role. She didn't handle it well and those are just facts. Believe whatever you want but I think a great argument could be made she is probably part of the problem at Texas this season. So did the open complaints stem from Delaye taking over as the number 1 offensive weapon (like you previously said) or was it because Rutherford was no longer playing 6 ro RS? Sounds like you’re making things up as you go. I don’t believe you. It was both. I don't really care if you believe me or not. The one thing I do know is there is no drama with the UK team this season and a big part of that is because the Drama Queen is no longer on the roster.

I’m sure she’s the reason Madi, Swindle, and Akana are in slumps and why our passing is struggling Can't speak to that. Just know she wasn't a positive teammate at UK. A lot of people were glad to see her move on.

What exactly has she done to be called that ?

I think sticking with the 5-1 and keeping it simple is the best path forward for this team. Mayyyybe try someone else for Wenaas' front row if she cannot terminate, but I think she will deliver!
