I just rewatched the San Diego match (aka MollyFest 2022) and had totally forgotten about the amazing dogpile play in the 4th set

How did we use setter Jenna Ewert as a (serving) sub in 2022 and what was the rest of that double sub personnel? Was it only late in a close set?

And typically late in a NOT close set So, Ewert subbed in to serve for Molly/Akana and was our primary setter in that rotation, and Devin subbed in front row for Saige on the right side? I feel like I'm drawing a blank as to the purpose of this double sub (other than to get a couple of additional players a few points of court time).

I think it was mostly to get Ewert and Devin game reps in case of they were needed to sub in. Also sometimes JE wanted a bigger blocker up front

I recall Ewert serving for O’Neal actually. I remember it being brought up since O’Neal had a good serve herself.

Usually it was for a double sub late in the sets, the times (rarely) he put her in as a sub for Asjia (serving), he also put Devin in for SKT (blocking). Akana who was in right back moved to libero and Ewert went to right back

Ok Longhorn fans, I need you to rally the people. Let's get Texas one step closer to blue this November. It's Kamala season. Also, yay volleyball, keeping this post on topic to the forum and not at all political
