Idk if yall are watching this game but I’m loving this Kentucky team! Sorry random though lol I watched parts of the 1st, watching the game slip away from Kentucky. My thoughts on GBR:
1. They said Jackson was amazing in practices and it showed in game play
2. At one point, I had to call my daughter and ask, "Hey, did Choboy play in the NC game?" Because she did so little in the NC game that I couldn't be sure. But, she was digging a lot of balls in this game
3. Bekah Allick has rebranded herself Rebekah Allick, thank you very much
4. Orr still on that team?!

you know je was watching that wisco match...get those serves a coming...our middles need to be hair on fire...hook'em I feel like they might be alot like us last year.. rough start but will get better throughout the season. We gotta be ready for their bounce-back on Sunday! also wisco weaknesses got exposed tonite...so the game plan might be similar to the semi-final game...we still have a lot of good servers (good serving keeps the middles out of the game & makes the offense predictable)...we will see |

I'm not as concerned about Wisconsin as I am about Texas.
I have fan PTSD from that Long Beach State match. And the Loyola Marymount wasn't that much better, although Texas won. Heck, we one trick ponied Minnesota. I still don't understand as a coach how you let a player get dismantled in serve receive 54 times in a match. It felt like abuse.
I want to see a coherent looking Texas team that looks like they've played together before.

When I was in school, we would do it as part of the Men's Club volleyball team. I signed up to watch us play Nebraska, I believe it was Fall 2007, when Pavan and Larson came to Gregory. It was hype. Hooker and Pavan swinging away sounds like a glorious viewing experience and i was literally on the floor, behind the R1. I would literally get lost in the point and forget why I was there in the first place lol |

Every year Texas improves over the course of the season as much or more than anyone in the country. I’d just like to see a higher inflection point at the start than last year, regardless if that ends in a win or loss. Wisconsin has work to do, but with a match under their belt they now have a better idea of what that entails, while Texas is playing in their first match. I don’t consider this a gimme at all. I honestly don’t think preseason practices start soon enough. Everyone is in the same boat, so it’s not like there’s a competitive advantage gained. But especially with their freshman setter, Wisconsin has a lot of growing pains to go through. And they have a problem at outside hitter that Landfair would have filled nicely, but instead she’s on the bench in Lincoln. Texas is also going to have some growing pains. I just want to see us appear farther along than last year. |

Pessimism has never won a battle. Optimism and determination often play crucial roles in overcoming obstacles and achieving success. Some of you need to step up.
With the european tour, we have much more experience than the Badgers do coming into the season.
