Pessimism has never won a battle. Optimism and determination often play crucial roles in overcoming obstacles and achieving success. Some of you need to step up. With the european tour, we have much more experience than the Badgers do coming into the season. You're taking most of these posts too seriously as most are tongue in cheek.

Also, it’s just conversation. I would hate it if everyone was in lock step in how we viewed everything. Also, message boards would be dead. I’m just so excited we’re about to have real volleyball to talk about! And disagree on!

Wisconsin flashed what they are capable of in the first set, but DBK is as good as anyone in the country in having her team ready to play. I agree with slxpress that after set 1 I thought of LBSU for Wisconsin where everything seemed disconnected, nothing was easy. The fight for the crown starts Sunday!

Volleybae 2.0 showed up during set 3 last night. After giving him the rundown on our history with both teams and what’s at ‘stake’ on Sunday, guess who is excited to wake up bright and early with me and watch our first match? I’ll have him burnt orange by December, friends, have no fear.

Not sure but I've heard that both Franklin and Orzol are still recovering from injuries, leaving a big load for Freshman Shadd-Ceres. WI only lists those 3 OH players on their roster. Also have heard that Fuerbringer did not enroll early, so she is on a very steep learning curve. I'm thinking TX should dominate WI Sunday, although WI block and D is formidable. IMHO Skinner is the best returning college OH in the US. Seeing her vs WI block should be fun match-up. Expect shutting down Skinner will be a WI priority on Sunday.

Lol, shutting down Skinner is not a secret strategy. It's been everybody's priority, just as it is an obvious priority for Texas to shut down Franklin. But the real question is, who can execute. The second OH position for Wisconsin is interesting. My hot take (I called it!) is that by the end of the season: 1) Orzol will go back to Libero, 2) Robinson is going to be moved the OH, 3) CC regains starting at MB.

If I’m in the Wisconsin gym this week, I’m trying to figure out how to get Booth involved.

I actually thought Fuerbringer looked great in the first set but then everytime they showed Sheffield talking to her ‘when your in b go to a, when in your in quick look for b”., it’s like she got worse😂 I kid, but I did think it was funny.

I loved having the coaches miked up, hearing their real-time takes. Meske basically telling his players that they need to stop underestimating what Fuerbringer can do and pay attention

I also don't remember a match where I've seen Smrek get blocked so much tbh Charlie had some right side sets that were too low for Smrek to do much

It was rough to start, settled down, then just went downhill She tried way to hard to be flashy, when as a freshman in her first match, she just needs to do her job, which is get her hitters, hittable balls. Multiple times she tried to force the middle and her middles had no idea she was even going too

It was over ten years ago #old, but her freshman year, she just seemed to better the ball, and get them in good situations, not really try to set the middle from the service line lol

I think Wisconsin will win. They have a game under their belts while this will be Texas' first game. I also think that not having the 3 little's will be a bigger issue than people think.
