Carlson, Wenaas, Emerick, Akana, Skinner, Halter against OU (I think that was the order too?) So, Akana subbed in to serve for Rutherford or the MB? I thought Wenaas wasn't playing back row, but she served; so too did Emerick who I thought played back row in place of Wenaas. Maybe the subs were different each set; I couldn't keep up. Emerick did the same sub Akana was doing in the 5-1. Akana was truly DSing Rutherford. so Jenna would go back to serve, play that rotation, then when the middle is supposed to serve, Emerick serve subs the middle and Halter runs back in after one serve to play back row for Jenna until it’s time for her to rotate back front row

I think chemistry doesn’t always mean “how close they are” It could just mean how they play together, in this case that’s how I’m seeing it They just aren’t “playing well as one” Fair points. Off the court they seem fine I don't know any evidence in either direction for that.

For the second match in a row an announcer claimed Texas has to play five matches in ten days following the recent break. This is during an OU timeout:
Where is anyone seeing such a thing?

What happened to the Wenas who played at the national championship game!? What happened to the Skinner, Swindle and Akana who played in the national championship game? They are all struggling; not just Wenaas.

There’s not much else left to try at this point. I don’t think it’s crazy to try Devin for Jenna, though I seriously doubt that will happen. That’s not hating on Jenna. How else can you get Devin’s serve in the rotation at this point, which I think they need? I think Devin is more terminal, but would she be consistent enough on the left?
Is Ella’s serving just too subpar at this point to even try her running the 5-1 and letting Carlson play a DS role for a couple of rotations to keep her serve in there? Would she do any worse in serve receive and defense than what we’ve seen so far? They’ve looked lost losing three straight at home, so I’m assuming they might try anything at this point.

wonder what Texas fans think of Rutherford. just my opinion Texas should of never picked her up. feel confident saying she probably didn't have a warm invite to return at UK. at times seems like a very selfish player

Not baseless at all. She did some things at Kentucky that pretty much decided her fate in Lexington. You don't have to believe me but when Deleye took over as the #1 offensive weapon for UK last season Rutherford did not take it well and openly complained the remainder of the season. I was actually shocked Texas took her because they didn't need her.

Rutherford complained about not being the number one option at UK then left to Texas where she KNEW she wouldn’t be the number one option? She’s never been the number one option her entire volleyball career. High School and College. Always been a great teammate. Doesn’t add up. Stop making up stuff on the internet.

If Texas was a Top 5 team at this point, everybody would be talking about what a great addition Rutherford was. She’d be having an All-American season if Texas wasn’t such a hot mess. Halter’s in the same boat, but I still thinks she makes one of the All-American teams.

Halter would most likely be Honorable Mention, because realistically AVCA is not gonna have more than 3 liberos on the AA lists and those 3 would likely be Elena Scott, Lexi Rodriguez which are probably already locks for All Americans and the third libero will be between Mary Shroll / Maddy Billinovic / Gillan Grimes / Raegan burns which will most likely be Mary imo
