Of course Holly skimmed over the first out/last in discussion by just saying it was hard but not giving any details regarding their indefensible decisions

I re-watched a 2007 NCAA Basketball Selection Show special on YouTube today that popped up for some reason that was so much better than this. I know, apples to oranges, but f*cking 2007. Come on man. The whole production was so much better. It's 2023.

We forgot the Committee will also seed Florida if able. At least they got a tougher 4 seed than 3-seeds in Lincoln. Location and better facility than GT. Pretty even between Gt and FL. plus FGCU is no slouch.

8-10 in conference doesn't sound legit to me. lol Neither does losing to Maryland and Rutgers. There are so many other teams to attack before A&M. ... Like SFA.

16 matches on Thursday and 16 on Friday 16 Thursday. 24 Friday?
I was initially thinking only about first round matches. Looks like the bracket is still being filled out with the second round dates so you might be right about total matches Friday.

Pretty even between Gt and FL. plus FGCU is no slouch. So you are defending the Committee by saying that Florida got the seed because (a) they have a nicer gym and (b) they can use FGCU as a drive-in when they couldn't to GT?

There is always talk about growing the game and that the game of volleyball is growing, but I think improving the selection show needs to happen. It needs to show the state of NCAA volleyball better.

I actually think the teams are seeded pretty nicely / accurate. There are some obv choices made to make things easier (e.g. Florida > Georgia Tech as host), but nothing egregious.
Now in terms of the at larges... well.

37 in RPI, wins over Utah St and Florida, Northern Iowa and Pepperdine. The loss to Alabama didn't count since it was yesterday, apparently. They were like 27 in RPI two days ago. So the loss did count. Yes 28th on Monday's official RPI.

Can we talk about how Penn St. is flying like 1500 miles to play its cupcake Yale, as a non-hosting team? Like WTF? It's crazy. Even when they're not a host, they get cupcakes. Some things never change.

Michella asked good questions and Holly ignored them all. I wouldn't describe them as "good questions," lol. Not bad but not good. And I don't think the chair really ignored them either. Pretty boring interview overall.
