I re-watched a 2007 NCAA Basketball Selection Show special on YouTube today that popped up for some reason that was so much better than this. I know, apples to oranges, but f*cking 2007. Come on man. The whole production was so much better. It's 2023. Isn’t this worlds better than the embarrassment of a show from 2020 or 2021? I’m fine with progress, and continuing to get better.

Michella asked good questions and Holly ignored them all. The problem is the lack of follow up questions. When pressed about the primary criteria, Holly said Florida held their own in RPI, KPI and SOS. So I would then look at those metrics and ask a follow up question - Florida has an RPI of 25 and KPI of 21, what about those lower ranks where good enough in the committees eyes for top 16? Also, if SOS is so important, why is Tennessee seeded #10 with a SOS of 46. The answer was going to be “Eh, Mary’s had a tough run this year, we wanted to throw her a bone”

I wouldn't describe them as "good questions," lol. Not bad but not good. And I don't think the chair really ignored them either. Pretty boring interview overall. Well, she asked what I wanted to know. Florida at 16, Losses for A&M/Tennessee, and did she touch on at larges? idk. either way, Holly skirted right by all of them. ay2013 is right about follow up questions. I guess so. I rolled my eyes when she led off with, "What are your overall thoughts on the bracket?" which is a waste in a five-minute interview. The length is one of the biggest issues because you just can't get into that much depth with either the initial questions or any follow-up questions.

Michella asked good questions and Holly ignored them all. I agree. Michella tried. She pushed but was respectful.

i get that rpi is a big factor and k state lost quite a few matches early that really hurt them, but in terms of common opponents, k state beat a baylor team that SFA lost to -14, -15, -21

So without taking a position on whether Florida should be seeded or not (I don't have strong feelings either way), their RPI with bonuses is 19th, not 25th. With Figstats, you have to scroll down to the third list in green to get to RPI with bonuses. The one at the top is home-away modified RPI, which is something that the committee doesn't use as far as I'm aware. I wish Figstats would put the RPI that the committee actually uses at the top.

just remember, there is someone in virginia right now who knows nothing about volleyball or RPI and is absolutely shocked that the citadel at 28-3 is not going to be in the tournament.

Yall enraged about TAMU as last four in. What about Minnesota? Should they have been in the last four? TAMU should have been safer than Minnesota. For anyone saying TAMU didnt do anything in the SEC with their conference record (and at least they beat Florida)..... What did Minnesota do in the B1G ?

So let me get this gay straight: If Purdue survives Fairfield, they have to face Marquette. Again. Then, if they survive that, they gotta face Pukis?! THE FREAKING HANNAH PUKIS?! On the bright side, UCLA doesn’t have to face Marquette or Pukis.
