I have no idea what the basis for KPI is, and it doesn't seem to fix RPI's main flaws. I mean, you can do MBB selections with the systems available - use Pablo like NET, etc. One thing that I wonder about is that KPI does take into account the sets won and location (but not points). The issues with Pablo (I'm paraphrasing from VT discussions from other people years ago) was that it took into account margin of victory and the NCAA didn't like that. Was that really true, I doubt the NCAA would really split hairs about taking into account sets but not points? |
