Still shocking this is a first round match up lol. I think it’s awesome and hilarious. I will find it a lot less funny if A&M wins, but I don’t foresee that happening. With KState not making it in, Texas went 6-1 in the last month with only one of those matches against a tournament bound team (Iowa State). In some conferences that wouldn’t be a big deal, but when half the available conference opponents made it in, it shows how bereft of quality opposition the latter part of the conference slate ended up being. Facing a tougher 1st round opponent than normal that is a big school rival is just what the doctor ordered to get the tournament started. My main personal goal for this season as a fan is to see them keep the Sweet 16 streak alive. That looks very doable in this bracket. Then we’ll see what the team can do against possibly Tennessee and Stanford (secretly hoping for Houston to shock the Cardinal in Palo Alto). |

This match is not listed on the ESPN plus schedule for Thursday? No, it isn’t. I can tell you in past years tournament matches have been available on ESPN+ even though it’s simulcast on the Longhorn Network. I’m assuming that’s going to be the case here. But you’re right. It’s not showing up as of now. |
