UK introduced Rebo serving and hitting from the backrow this match. Or reintroduced I guess.
Gotta give up to the staff — they aren’t afraid to keep trying new things, even in the tournament!

I picked Kentucky to go to the Final Four in my bracket, they’re the team I’m rooting for the rest of the way. Shoutout to the Cats for a dominant match and moving on to the second weekend.
Sad to see Baylor’s season end this early after 4 straight Sweet 16 appearances. But very excited for the future with all of the potential they’ve displayed. Now time to enjoy the tournament stress-free!

What's wrong with the prayer? Baylor’s prayer tradition gained a lot of attention in their 2019 FF run, as it was steadily captured by the broadcast following each match. Baylor was winning a lot that season, and there were some feelings about inviting a team to pray (in general) but also particularly during an emotional moment after they had just lost a match. They’ve continued this tradition, and do it after every match whether they win or lose. It’s an open invitation to the other team that is extended by Baylor’s captains to the captains of the other team prior to the match. Teams generally know Baylor will ask them in advance and have the chance to decide as a team if they want to accept the invitation. Some teams do, some don’t. Nothing wrong with either choice.

Everyday I boot up the Internet and log onto this website, doubts creep into my mind and I ask myself, "am I stanning Brooklyn DeLeye too hard?" and every day I'm reassured the answer: We cannot possibly stan hard enough. The limit does not exist. We have no other choice but to stan. There is no alternative.
Go Cats. On to Lincoln

The Baylor prayer thing has been discussed extensively on this forum. Y’all can do some searching to find the very valid points that have been made against it.

Is there discussion about how Baylor started the prayer tradition while they were forcing a sexual assault survivor who blew the whistle off the team and out of the school?

Plenty of people have complicated relationships with religion, and possibly traumatic pasts. My opinion has always been schools with religious affiliations are fine to pray with each other rather than public schools, but I don't think it should be even a matter of discussion with public schools. Another issue is that some feel it is really a 'gesture' cloaked as a form of proselytizing.

I must admit it was funny to see Pepperdine/Baylor praying together after Callie Williams lunged and barked at Shannon Scully through the net during the match.

Y'all know teams can say no? No one is forcing them to join the prayer circle. It is an invitation- accept or decline.

You don't see why players would be uncomfortable either telling their captain they aren't going to participate, because the captain decision right? Or, being on camera as a non-participating player seems like it'd open you up to some public shunning. I could see team dynamics being different, but anyone whose been part of a team, like I said, will do things as a team they otherwise wouldn't as an individual. I just don't see how any of your comment addresses that part of the argument.

Y'all know teams can say no? No one is forcing them to join the prayer circle. It is an invitation- accept or decline. Baylor literally stood there and stared across the net at UK while they celebrated. UK started leaving for the tunnel, and the entire Baylor team crossed under the net to follow them. One or two of the UK players noticed and were like “oh hey everyone, turn around, this is happening.” It’s cringe. But also, to act like no pressuring happens by Baylor is dishonest. And to act like each individual player is afforded a fair opportunity to opt in or out is naive.
