Honestly this season falls directly on Theis. You lose a Libero, and your replacement for her is an OH from a one bid conference. Your starting RS all year long is a converted setter, and your OH2 essentially sends over roll shots when she swings away.
You have one of the best setters in the country around with two stud middles and you couldn’t support them with two decent pins.

I’m a Marquette alum (probably one of like 2 on this board) and played on their men’s club team. I’m a little upset that my alma mater just cannot take the next step and make some noise in the second weekend. Like they did the hard work, they found the middles and the setter but they couldn’t find just two pins to take them over the edge. |
