If Texas has a chance they should 100% go get Averi. She is maybe the most gifted pure setter in the country, or weakness as a player lies elsewhere.
Texas covers her other gaps really nicely (back row defense and huge blocks with other players). Swindle is a nice player but I could set O’Neal and Skinner and be effective. Her location is a problem and will hurt them in years to come, also getting to the final four is one thing. Winning is another, Carlson would help them win it all with this team.

I’m assuming staff (no shade) but this is a completely different staff than who she committed to. She was the only member of the original recruiting class who stayed I believe, although not sure Pearson’s timeline. The others Covell ASU Wijay USC Volpe (‘24) TCU Volpe was never committed to A&M just visited |

There’s no way Carlson ends up at Texas right?? No insight, but that was certainly my reaction. Would she take over for Swindle or ride the bench behind her? I don’t think Swindle is good but she set her team to a final four. Hard to believe Carlson would transfer to sit. |

Okay. I’m not salty about it even a little bit. KState earned that win. My biggest takeaway from that match is that Texas served KState extremeky well, but the Wildcats were more clutch down the stretch. I don’t really have any emotions attached to it one way or another beyond that. Kudos to KState. I feel like you may be delusional about the area around Manhattan, Kansas and think it actually holds possibilities as a tourist destination. The area I live in isn’t exactly one that enamors people with its beauty, either. Serve receive was our main weakness so shows they could do it when they are locked in. I hope next year they can be more consistent in that area. I think hitting errors was the main problem for Texas. Yeah I’m not saying it’s a tourist attraction but is actually more scenic than most of Kansas which isn’t saying much. From what I saw of K-State, serve receive was too inconsistent all year (similar to several teams in the B12). And yes - The Flint Hills are pretty darn scenic and by far the most scenic places in Kansas. Certainly not a tourist attraction, but a pretty a pretty cool place nonetheless. |
