Thatās weird, Iāve seen several undergrads on the College VB Transfers Insta. Thereās an exception for coaching changes, right? The Insta is a stand alone and not affiliated with NCAA. The athletes complete a form thatās linked to the Insta basically letting them know they will be in the portal when itās live. They have to even submit a screenshot of the email they receive that shows they will be listed in the portal. So basically, the posts we see on social media arenāt āofficialā. Until tomorrow, at least for undergrads itās just them getting ahead of the rush hoping to catch the eye of a program. I knew the Insta was separate, it just never occurred to me they would announce early. But duh. |

Iām mainly just wondering if a player can enter while their team is still playing in the tournament if theyāre not a grad transfer technically, they can, but nobody does. They're all busy trying to win a championship, and that would just mess with the mojo. I believe it was known in the case of some bench players in the past, but I canāt imagine a starter doing it on a team still playing. |

Kelly has said that Robinson can play any position, in his mind. She's such an athlete. Her only international or usa futures would be as a middle. If youāre closed minded, sure. |

If she can just not get aced in serve receive sheād be fine. Franklin and Smrek can terminate on OOS high balls, so just passing a 1 is valuable. why do y'all hate wrobel???Ā We donāt, we just havenāt see her really play a lot, so itās tough to make any judgement. What we do know if that she hasnāt played all year. A considerable amount of time, not always, but a non-negligible amount, that player never really plays again, possibly medically retires. Not likely, but possible. Julia Orzol also exists Weāre getting a 5ā11ā pin in 2024 from Canada, but weāre going to have to see how she gels. She might be immediately awesome, she might not see the court, sheāll probably be somewhere in between. If Sheffield wants to redshirt her, thereās an open spot in the rotation that doesnāt have a perfect fit. |

It seems the Badger fans are triggered by suggestions that Sheffield will go to the portal. It's what he does, he has a track record. It's not illegal, the rules allow it. You should celebrate it, not pretend that's not his MO.Ā He's done it as well or better than anyone He can do it, itās just less likely this year. I donāt know the exact scholarship situation, but I would think Hammil, Ashburn and TTA are on scholarship that are graduating. Charlie, Tosia, and Trinity are incoming and are most likely scholarshipped. I might be wrong on that point, full disclosure. Unless someone transfers/retires, I donāt know if thereās a scholarship to give. Thatās why Iām looking within the team first. |

We MIGHT have had a spare schollie this year that could continue onto next year: Smrek, Orzol, Dev, Franklin, GG, CC, MJ, Izzy, TTA, Booth, Wrobel give 11 scholarships accounted for this year. Now, the question is whether Saige is on a full or only a two-year schollie. If she's on a full we don't have any more scholarships for next year; if she's on a partial we could play with the years and have an open scholarship for next year. We just don't know for sure. |
