Silina Damuni just announced she’s going on a mission. So probably done with volleyball and not going to transfer.

True. I guess I’ve only heard of girls coming back to their original school. Since she doesnt have a school and will take 18 months off I figured it would be hard to find a high level school who would take that chance.

There’s no rush, other than whatever certainty it might provide. There’s nothing that precludes her from going back to BYU. Between her father and brother she has some pretty deep ties there. It just struck me as strange to assume her volleyball career was over because of the mission trip.

I think it would be hard to enter the portal, then announce your mission, and then return to BYU a a volleyball player is probably what the OP is suggesting. To forfeit your scholly and then ask for it back in 2-3 years is a bit much and seems diff than the regular mission-taking process.

What I’m saying is that doing one does not preclude the other regardless of how unusual it is.

There are also mutual follows between Kiari and Arizona players Alayna Johnson, Jordan Wilson, and Giorgia Mandotti. The most interesting one is the last one because she’s a sophomore from Italy. Don't know any other reason they would follow each other. I know Rita was looking at middle blockers, but I don't have names. Would be quite a get if it happened. kids want to play. Some coaches don’t know how to incorporate a lot of talent . Robey posted in High Point’s gym, must be on an official visit.

It can be true that minds can change due to circumstances. Doesn't mean anybody, me, were "blowing smoke". Say for instance a team was looking for something, but when they couldn't get it, and with more info, they changed their thinking. As of a week ago, not interested. Things changed. Your mind ever changed after getting more information or a change of circumstances?

Yes, of course. I may be a little prickly because of the Landfair debacle, so I'm easily irritated when unequivocal assertions turn out to be wrong. IMO, it would be good to hedge a little in the future, .e.g., "Not interested right now, but The Badgers are still looking for players and things are fluid". Meanwhile, I hope The Badgers find what they're looking for so they have more than 3 outside hitters when play begins in the fall.
