Never considered Whit to Creighton...but that's interesting. Just an hour away. Doesn't need to pack up her new family and move away. I'd certainly like to see that over Wisconsin or Texas 🤮 I wouldn't mind her going to Wisconsin or Texas. It would be nice if we faced either of those teams starting an OPP who hit .206 in the Big Ten. The last thing Wisconsin needs next year is another opposite/middle. We have four starters now (there's a loaded term!) coming back. |

I wouldn't mind her going to Wisconsin or Texas. It would be nice if we faced either of those teams starting an OPP who hit .206 in the Big Ten. The last thing Wisconsin needs next year is another opposite/middle. We have four starters now (there's a loaded term!) coming back. That depends... How are you defining "starter"? Oh lordy. What happened hun? Caught your man/woman/partner oogling at her once too many times?  Whitney has ridiculous athleticism and does some things extremely well (block and serve, for example). She has great offensive *potential* but in terms of what shes *proven* her hitting stats just are what they are. So if Texas is going to get a transfer pin, it makes sense to be like well sure have the one who hit .206 and see how much she can improve with y’all rather than oh have this other OH who already hit much higher and is for sure gonna make you guys super stacked. I would rather develop Byrd than pick up Laurenstein personally. But no one consults me |

According to you. My statement was made in general terms. Not 100% accurate as most players who are not playing or not on scholorship jump in blind in hopes of finding a home. Podraza had mutiple teams reach out and coordinate visits. Grad Students are a little different in this process in that they already have a very solid body of work. All of the PR around JFO announcing she was not bringing back her 5th years last year was part of finding a new home for all of them. Most SA do not have that luxury. well no, its not according to me - its the truth. I specifically mentioned those players because what you posted does not apply to them. yes podraza had multiple visits arranged.. key word MULTIPLE, which is why "they already know where they're going before they do" doesnt apply to her. Beason spoke with multiple schools, skinner took multiple visits, and its been publicly stated that Wisconsins own players went to Sheffield AFTER booth entered the portal and told him to go after her.Do we really trust public statements as fact? |

I feel the same way about Lauenstein that I did about Wenaas. For much the same reasons. That said, I can disagree with Elliott's decisions while still wholly trusting him to do what he thinks is best for the team. I don't have any idea what goes into his decision making. There's a lot of information he has access to that I don't. I just hope it all works out for the best for everyone involved. |

What a wierd phenomena. Why does the tea thread always get derailed for like 5 pages for every 1 page of real tea? I don't think that happens in any other thread on VT.
The natives are thirsty and we become restless when the kettle is emptied or the little bit of tea goes stale bitter/tannic!

I obviously don't speak for other Husker fans. i supported (was high on) her because she's a member of the team, the best we had at the position and a part of the Husker nation, despite her .206 hitting in the BIG. by Whitney's choice, the only thing that remains true is .206. I wish her well in every aspect of her life, but I too wouldn't mind her going to any school with a .206 or a .406 for that matter. it's water under the bridge as far as this Husker fan's concerned. |
