for those of you without reading comprehension, madden said "ACT like they were begging for her to be benched", meaning that y'all WEREN'T begging for her to be benched, which was the point of his post. he said y'all were high on her at nebraska but now that she's not at nebraska, y'all are ACTING like y'all weren't high on her. Since your reading comprehension is so good, who is acting like they were begging for her to benched? She cooled signficantly in conference play compared to non-con. With the same setting. People cooled on her as scheming caught up to her during the season. Nebraska haters are here acting like Nebraska fans were calling her the second coming all season and only now are acknowledging she tailed off badly during the season. It was evident she was struggling at the time even to Nebraska fans without reading comprehension.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Whit go to Texas to feed the drama. Eek hasn’t she been through enough already? You see how Texas fans treat Wenaas, hitting .218 Imagine how’d they treat Lauenstein hitting .206 Not to mention the shade Swindle, a true freshman, gets. That Texas crowd is tough.

Do we really trust public statements as fact? not always, but that would be an incredibly strange and specific thing to decide to lie about - also would be a 'lie' that doesn't benefit anyone, which is usually the reason for lying I'm not throwing around accusations because I don't really care. But the reason to lie would be that someone reached out to Booth to show interest from the Wisconsin side and that influenced her to enter the portal. I am NOT saying that's what happened. But that's exactly why you'd say something different in this situation. Usually the way that happens is through the club the player was formerly associated with. Especially if there's any kind of good relationship there. But it can happen through team members sending DMs. The OU softball coach literally posts what she's looking for (very SPECIFICALLY that could only apply to a few players in all of college softball) on social media and then picks through all the new high caliber players that enter the portal right afterwards. But there's zero benefit to admitting to contact with club organizations regarding a player at another university, or outlining how team members contacted the player about their interest in a school. We're being naive if we think NONE of the best players have any idea who might be interested in them before they put their name in the portal. That said, I don't think it happens with all of them, either. I think a lot of players simply want a different situation from where they currently are, and the portal is an excellent option for them to seek out another venue. What transpired in Booth's case, I have no idea, and have zero emotional investment in it. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if some contact was made before she entered in the portal. I live in the real world, and that's how the real world works. But there's no advantage to admitting it.

That Texas crowd is tough. How much shade does Swindle get? Wenaas gets commented on by a bunch of people. A couple much harsher than anyone else. I don't see a lot of critique of Swindle beyond she doesn't backset the right pin - which she doesn't - from more than one or two Texas fans. Is the Texas crowd tough? Or are there just a bunch of us, and a few vocal ones are conflated into representing everyone? There's almost 900 pages regarding the current season alone, and that's in addition to active match threads and a specific recruiting/transfer thread. Some of that just comes with the territory.

need someone to love me the way you love madden me and madden were at each others throat in the SEC awards thread it was just funny to see a Nebraska fan go “who was begging for her to be benched?”, uhhhh like no one? and no one suggested yall were?😭😭😭😭 That's the gripe? Fans acting like they were begging for her to be benched vs fans begging for her to be benched. That's the issue here? Okay. If something that perfectly small fuels you...

I think it cooled as the season went on. But you're right in that it was likely just a few vocal people. Honestly I see the comments in the threads and maybe don't realize it's the same couple of people commenting.

I often can't remember who said what, even if I liked it, very shortly after I read the post. Who are you again?

In a nutshell, she committed to Minnesota when she was 13 yo. She was also considering The Badgers at that time and felt she had a good relationship with Sheffield and Dildine. She still had Sheffield's number when she hit the portal and according to Carter, "he was my first call". Sheffield has said publicly that his first reaction was "no effing way". It seems very unlikely that this is all a smokescreen.

I'm also saying that players get approached even while they're still on another team's roster, whether that happened with Booth or not.

Have all the kills you want, but if your two errors come when it really matters, you’re not the player I want.
