There's NO way my Badgz lose to the kitty cats again. Ashburn serves them off the court.

Isn’t this suppose to be somewhat neutral? Nope. It is MORE neutral than a regular season match. There will be a literal neutral court - the NCAA blue Taraflex. The video board graphics are neutral NCAA stuff. The PA people are supposed to be neutral. Each school gets a student section and a band. The bands take turns playing. At Wisconsin, the band’s drum line typically play the beat of the “POINT, WISCONSIN!” cheer, but they are not allowed to do that during the postseason.

SMREK REDEMPTION TOUR, MATCH 1!!! so, i am assuming you will be pulling for purdue in their next match also... I will, for sure. The Boilers are my #2 B1G team. But also, the B1G redemption tour story writes itself.

All of that is definitely true, but the fans and crowd noise we have make it not be very neutral.

TOO MANY of those end up on StubHub and SeatGeek, etc. at somewhat inflated prices. Hopefully anyone who ordered extra tickets and lost a lot of money from not selling them ends up returning their tickets immediately. Just before we hit the road to the Field House, I noticed a pair of Gold seats for $35. Section G, row 6. At least one ticket holder with god seats realized no one was paying crazy high prices. Re: tickets turned back in: In 2021 (before the gold/silver shuffling of seats) first weekend of NCAAs, I was in the Field House watching the early match between Texas Tech and FGCU, and sitting in my regular season section E seat, knowing that at some point I'm going to have to move to my playoffs assigned seat in section D. The match ends up going to five sets, and the crowd is filling in. when a guy walks up and says "you're in my seat". So I bump up a row to another still empty seat, and continue to watch. While we're sitting there, I ask they guy "Do you mind if I ask how you got that ticket?" He says "What do you mean?" "I mean, are you are regular season ticket holder? Did you buy it on StubHub, etc? How did you get that ticket?" He says "No, I bought it at the ticket window." "You mean the ticket window here? At the Field House?" "Yeah." "Just now?!?" "Yeah". "You just walked up to the ticket window, asked for a ticket, and got that seat?!?" By now he's looking at me like I have three heads, and that what he did was the most normal thing in the world. I'm shoved over to section D (sitting next to Syd Hilley's grandmother, who REALLY should have a better seat than that), and some guy walked up to the ticket window twenty minutes before the schedule first serve and got as good a seat as there is in the building. I am not a fan of the process by which playoff tickets are allocated.

Why would Wisconsin season-ticket holders get priority over fans from other schools. Isn’t this suppose to be somewhat neutral? Please keep us Big Ten brethren informed of the ticket process. I know there is a lot of excitement for this Penn State - Wisconsin rematch. That's the whole point of 'hosting', and playing the season to get a top 4 and top 16 seed.

SMREK REDEMPTION TOUR, MATCH 1!!! Redemption: the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil. Is PSU the Evil Empire? Still.

With attendance exploding and the popularity growing, when will the NCAA go to neutral sites and now gift-wrap Final Four opportunities. They tried that starting in 2002. Attendance may well be growing overall, but a lot of it is due to home-team interest... not those-other-teams interest. At the first round yesterday in Omaha/Creighton, there were lots of empty seats during the Gopher / Utah State match. The sell-out crowd came for the home team.

Will Penn State fans be able to get tickets to these regional matches or will Wisconsin monopolize all the tickets? The drive from Iowa might be worth it. You may have luck calling the Penn State or Oregon athletic department/box office to get tickets.

Why would Wisconsin season-ticket holders get priority over fans from other schools. Isn’t this suppose to be somewhat neutral? No, it's not supposed to be neutral. That is why it is a big deal to be one of the top four overall seeds, and thus be number one in your bracket and get regional hosting privileges.

I don’t remember when I’m allowed to put team names in the thread title, but we might as well let the smack talk commence. Volleytalk is an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer for the week... but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting... by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs... but by a two thirds majority in the case of... This would be considered a purely internal issue, so you can inquire at the bi-weekly meeting to see what the time frame is, and whether it will continue, or be overruled by the committee. If it is overruled, then, unless the committee provides binding guidance, the next executive officer is free to make his -- or her -- or their!! -- own decision on what the new timeframe should be for such team name disclosures. You should expect a clear and understandable ruling sometime in the next, um, 12 years, more or less. The guidance/suggestion given by exit237a was to wait until the calendar day (not even a full 24 hrs) following the match(es) that determined the two participating teams. So, since the Wisconsin sub-regional winner was determined on Friday, and the Kansas sub-regional winner was, similarly, determined by a match played on Friday... this thread title should not list the names until sometime Saturday. The thread itself can name teams, because a person wanting to not have their DVR-ed match outcome spoiled should know enough to not open a thread which involves teams that are the result of that DVR-ed match. “There’s some lovely filth over here Dennis”
