Is it the Wisconsin match yet?
Gophers are still 1-3 versus competition that even registers a pulse.

I really liked the way the coaches approached this weekend. Yes, it wasn't the best competition and some others think they should have been honing the "A" team, but I think it was great. It feels like they learned a lot.
-Oregon has been very good to the Gophers. Acevedo is VERY good. And not just from the service line. Thibault is also quite good. It's wonderful to have them both.
-Ng may be a very good SS.
-Keegan showed a lot of trust in the keeping the young players in for extended periods. Who knows, it might be the only time some of them see the floor this year once conference play starts.
I don't read this thread a lot but I assume this means the Swenson sisters are red-shirting this year? Pretty sure they were the only ones who didn't play this weekend???

I'm sending all the positive energy I can muster to Wucherer that she can be 100% healthy and emerge as the breakout star I know she can be. But above all, I want her to have fun doing so. Yeah, I know.... that's quite Pollyanna of me.

Yeah, I know.... that's quite Pollyanna of me. She didn’t seem to have any moment on Thursday where I was worried about an injury. I wonder what happened (we will likely not find out). She was sitting by the coaches most of the match tonight. Hopefully everything is okay.

That probably means nothing serious. She was able to walk and run around.

Surprising the official box score still isn’t posted. Figstats must be waiting for it too. They usually update match results within a few hours but Minnesota is still listed as 6-3 and no Chicago State result recorded yet.
Unofficially at #18 RPI without that win being calculated. #19 after bonuses are applied.

The other website I checked which is Massey has updated to include that match and we are currently sitting at #17. It turns out Auburn could be our goldmine this year. masseyratings.com/cvol/ncaa-d1/ratings

Have seen this before, where matches at tournaments between non-host teams get lost in the shuffle.

Getting a win(s) over Wisconsin and/or Purdue would be pretty big.

Saw someone say on Facebook that Mckenna had something strapped to her back? Hopefully just an ache or pain that needed rest and a heat?/cold?/electro? therapy device.

Does a weekend beating up on overmatched teams help for Wisc and Purdue since Gophs could sort things out without much pressure and simply because wins are good for confidence? Or is the level jump going to be too big and the Gophs aren't really going to be properly warmed up. Though I guess that would really only be an issue for the Wisc match which is first.

If the gophers want to be a top 16 team they have to beat high ranked tames. If we have to worry about RPI we will just be cannon fodder for the better teams.

I think they had fairly good competition against Stanford, Texas, BYU and TCU. Getting some Wins is important too. I would have like to see a little better caliber of opponent, but it did allow them to get playing time for many bench players. Had we played all top 100 teams, rather than 200-300 teams, that likely wouldn't have been an option.
