Not sure if anyone noticed, but Wisconsin vb tweeted out something when Temi was announced. They reposted it and said “can’t wait to see you in the fieldhouse again” and then deleted the tweet super quick and changed it to “can’t wait to see you in Madison again”. Maybe an accidental spoiler and they’ll be playing their games at the fieldhouse?

Short article by Mike Hall July 8, 2024 “Former Wisconsin volleyball middle blocker Danielle Hart will play professional volleyball for LOVB Madison.
Hart becomes the third former Badger star to join League One Volleyball alongside 2014 Big Ten Player of the Year Lauren Carlini and 2022 AVCA Second-Team All-American Temi Thomas-Ailara.
Other Big Ten names involved include former Buckeye Claire Chaussee, former Ohio State Offensive Player of the Year Taylor Sandbothe and former Minnesota outside hitter Daly Santana.
During her five seasons of action during her collegiate tenure, Hart was named a 2019 VolleyballMag.com Honorable Mention All-American and a two-time Second-Team All-Big Ten team selection.
Most notably, the Virginia Beach, Virginia native was a member of the 2021 Wisconsin team responsible for clinching a title over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Outside Madison, Hart has professional experience in Athletes Unlimited and has been featured as a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team in the Pro Volleyball Federation.
Founded by the aforementioned Carlini, an AVCA First-Team All-American during her four seasons in Madison, the league focuses on its player development from junior volleyball clubs to the pros.“

She was a first team AA three of her four seasons, which would exclude the first season from inclusion.

Is HM really Hart's highest all-american honor?

There is a line when desire for coverage to grow interest in the sport clashes with poorly informed coverage that displays a lack of respect for the sport. This may have been a case. Thankfully, volleyball has many supporters in all types of media of right now who care enough to try to get accurate information.
So, where you all think they will be playing?
Field House: lots of history, best sightlines, will be the loudest venue, but maybe too much revenue sharing with the UW for a business model
Alliant Center (or whatever it may be called): more capacity (but is it necessary now), I assume it’s cheaper than UW properties (but I don’t know that), Can tailor the experience, eg like that PVF place that had couches, or signature cocktails (the Carlini Martini please), better concessions than the Field House, better parking,
Any other Possible Venues???

I've never heard of the university renting space to a pro sports team. I would guess the Dane County Coliseum [insert name of corporate energy monopoly here] too because: - location (Beltline, and very close to the Badgers' home base)
- parking
- ability to establish some long-term branding for LOVB in the facility not hindered by UW branding, etc. and lack competition from other sports (except roller derby)

I think there's a few university arenas that share between NCAA/pro team. I assume LOVB Omaha will have one with Baxter Arena (owned by UNO). UTA shares one with the Dallas Wings. Im not sure if LOVB Madison would use the fieldhouse.... i just dont want hockey arenas, they look so bad in PVF. Omaha/Baxter probably dont have any choice.

I've never heard of the university renting space to a pro sports team. Green Bay Packers used to play an occasional preseason game at Camp Randall. It’s been a damn long time, but it’s been done a few times.
