I've never heard of the university renting space to a pro sports team. I would guess the Dane County Coliseum [insert name of corporate energy monopoly here] too because: - location (Beltline, and very close to the Badgers' home base)
- parking
- ability to establish some long-term branding for LOVB in the facility not hindered by UW branding, etc. and lack competition from other sports (except roller derby)
I think there's a few university arenas that share between NCAA/pro team. I assume LOVB Omaha will have one with Baxter Arena (owned by UNO). UTA shares one with the Dallas Wings. Im not sure if LOVB Madison would use the fieldhouse.... i just dont want hockey arenas, they look so bad in PVF. Omaha/Baxter probably dont have any choice. Some of the early generation pro women's soccer teams shared space with universities. I remember Sky Blue (now Gotham) infamously rented the Rutgers field and they had trailers outside the field to change in when they had bad ownership

Until 2008, the Gophers played football at the Metrodome (which was the home of both the Vikings and the Twins at the time.)
Now all three teams have their own stadium/arena but it was kind of cool watching three different sports teams in the same place.

For one game in 2010 (after the Dome collapsed), and then for all of 2014 and 2015 seasons, the Vikings played at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank stadium.

Chicago Bears also played at Illinois' university for a season before their stadium got renovated. Also while it's technically owned by the city of LA, the Rams played their first 2 seasons at the LA Coliseum which is where USC plays football. It's probably more likely for football since there aren't that many spaces that can host football games.

Do we think this league can rival some of the European leagues? it seems like they are getting some top notch talent, even internationally.

The pin depth on this team has 2023-24 Atlanta Vibe vibes. So many options. I’m really excited to see Daly Santana in the Midwest again. She and her husband opened a coffee shop in NYC last summer. Hopefully he’s able to come to some games because iykyk

Emails just went out for seating requests. Looks like they are going by first come, first serve based on the time you put your deposit down. So no rush on putting in preferences it seems.
