I'm not being salty. I respect the incredible experience Nebraska has built for its program, really I do, I just don't understand why the rest of the country has to cater to it when its clear that the exposure is NOT helping other teams and that all these amazing Nebraska volleyball fans don't actually care about volleyball, they just care about Nebraska. Look at the impact it has had when Nebraska cities host international tournaments, club tournaments, ESPN viewership! There is no college sport where spectators predominantly watch to support their team rather than their school. Nebraska audiences do a great job of growing volleyball.

Kentucky was in system a lot that set. Just better passing or less aggressive Hog serving?

Arkansas middle has to start committing on Tealer on the gap. she still hasn't figured out that gap set and Kentucky has ran it like 74736363 times

ok but like thurs at 5pm in seattle, is there even a single solitary human at a vball match not involving UW? gonna say no on that one. I don't disagree with that, but at least it would be more fair. If the home crowd isn't going to show up for matches that don't feature their team, why do we have to give the #1 seeds the added advantage of hosting every year? Bc they do show up for the ones that they are a part of. :/ I think the pros outweigh the cons. Back before this strategy, almost every match not involving Nebraska looked like this. I find this preferable, esp seeing the large crowds in places like Louisville and Pitt in the last few years that NEVER would've drawn those crowds otherwise. Ideally, it advances the sport and leads to us being able to someday go regional style the way basketball does. Just not there yet.

The atmosphere is just different when they go first.
