Bc they do show up for the ones that they are a part of. :/ I think the pros outweigh the cons. Back before this strategy, almost every match not involving Nebraska looked like this. I find this preferable, esp seeing the large crowds in places like Louisville and Pitt in the last few years that NEVER would've drawn those crowds otherwise. Ideally, it advances the sport and leads to us being able to someday go regional style the way basketball does. Just not there yet. You gotta have the host team play second. The atmosphere is just different when they go first. That's a good call. But, OTOH, Stanford will play second tonight and uh... we'll see. I think the con there is that you have fans piling into the arena during the entire play of the first match. Not sure if that's a good thing? Maybe to a degree?

I'm about to be that person, but someone needs to talk to Lamb about her bronzer/spray tan. Looks super orange in this lighting.

I don't disagree with that, but at least it would be more fair. If the home crowd isn't going to show up for matches that don't feature their team, why do we have to give the #1 seeds the added advantage of hosting every year? I understand the scheduling was done with television in mind but no favors were done having Nebraska play first. The energy in the 4th and 5th of this match would be incredible as Husker fans arrived. Guess the NCAA can’t have its cake and eat it too.

This match is great, but all it does is benefit Nebraska, who will be fresh because they had no competition today, and get to play at home.
