This match is great, but all it does is benefit Nebraska, who will be fresh because they had no competition today, and get to play at home. would you want all tournament games to be on neutral sites then or maybe just all the regionals at neutral sites? |

Bc they do show up for the ones that they are a part of. :/ I think the pros outweigh the cons. Back before this strategy, almost every match not involving Nebraska looked like this. I find this preferable, esp seeing the large crowds in places like Louisville and Pitt in the last few years that NEVER would've drawn those crowds otherwise. Ideally, it advances the sport and leads to us being able to someday go regional style the way basketball does. Just not there yet. I understand the scheduling was done with television in mind but no favors were done having Nebraska play first. The energy in the 4th and 5th of this match would be incredible as Husker fans arrived. Guess the NCAA can’t have its cake and eat it too. Because god forbid Nebraska play on ESPN U instead of ESPN 2. Those Cornhusker fans can't possibly be smart enough to flip just a few more channels. (rolls eyes) |
