I don't want to read into it toooo much, but koavball has been very hush-hush about Wahine recruits/transfers. I remember a bunch of hints regarding Guersching, but there was very little mention of the 2024 recruiting class too. I'm not sure if the poster needs to be more hush hush on women's volleyball based on his relationships to the program, but the poster is super active on the men's side. Even gave some recent thoughts on the beach thread. Take this thought for what it's worth... but even the "expect 3 new Wahine in the Fall" comment is so opposite of the way news is posted on the men's side. Very vanilla. For whatever reason, just some observations. |

Gonna be hard to transfer then graduate with only 1 year of indoor eligibility. She might as well stay at UH and get some experience on the beach too. Does Paula still have UH on her socials? She's as good as gone, no longer on the island? |

Given that the Wahine are losing their most experienced and effective attackers plus passers, no I wouldn't say it is dramatic Wahine just lucked out in 2023 and didn't have to face UCSB in the BW Tourney. Wahine might luck out again in 2024 since some other BW programs might be in rebuilding phases too. You stated what you thought and so did I. Both posts aren't dramatic. 👍 |

I 100% agree with your post (re: breadcrumbs) anyway once a player has committed you can pretty much find it out before the announcement since they usually follow all the players on social media 😂 |

The 2018 off season into the 2019 season was the chef's kiss. Five freshmen recruits and 4 P5 transfers. Likely will never happen again LOL. The effects of Nostalgia, just five years removed LOL.

Wahine might luck out again in 2024 since some other BW programs might be in rebuilding phases too. I think a lot of the teams who may have loaded up on COVID transfers/had a lot of extra eligibility players are about to pay the price this year and the year after. I'm expecting a down year in volleyball overall. (Yeah last year was a payoff year for Hawaii too so this is sort of a "planned' rebuilding year so to speak) |

For whatever reason, just some observations. I think Koa is making a personal decision to approach the men’s and women’s team differently due to the different philosophies of each coaches . Koa seems to be more open about the men’s recruitment because guys like Kupono is active in social media and probably because Charlie is not that secretive and hush hush about who hie is going after compare to Robyn , who seems to rather not say or do anything if not needed. Koa probably has to dig deep and put on his Sherlock Holmes outfit to find Wahine volleyball news while he can get men’s vball from the coaches without much of a hassle. Of course, if Koa wants to come remain an insider, he need to walk a fine line with Robyn so he is doing just that. |

I have a serious question; I thought that a DI athlete could play professionally before college as long as they weren't winning prize money or making an excessive amount of money that isn't deemed necessity?
