The portal dates are only for entering. Players don’t have to commit in that window. I have another question….if D2 level players were to move up to D1, do they need to enter the portal? Obviously, JC don’t but don’t know about D2. There is an article written about many talented football players are starting off their careers at D2 or lower since big time college teams are filling their rosters with transfers….thus taking away opportunities for HS graduates. I’m assuming that is also true for women’s volleyball. P5 schools don’t need to reach down to D2 since they can steal….😁…….kids from other G5 schools but G5 schools could replenish their rosters with talented D2 players. So that leads to my question of whether D2 kids need also to be in the portal to move up to D1? Yes, the portal is for all NCAA levels D1-D3. If you want to transfer within NCAA you need to be in the portal.

I heard she is not coming to UH and last I saw Kaleo was following Trinity Sheridan from Cal State San Bern but idk where that is going...

I heard she is not coming to UH and last I saw Kaleo was following Trinity Sheridan from Cal State San Bern but idk where that is going... That’s too bad. She will have a chance to go postseason with the indoor and beach team is she comes. Anything you can tell that make her not wanting to be here? Maybe she initially wanted to come and play with Paula but Paula did not feel the same way?

At this point, maybe it’s better to offer Veronika Petrova and hope she can develop into someone down the line. With Henke out of the picture, Acevedo unlikely to come and Sheridan with a child, UH is in a really tight spot.
Might have to rely on the starters to carry the load and hope the young bench can provide enough to give the A team some competition in the practice gym and spell the starters in mop up duties
May need to give Malinah and Adrianna some time on the floor to see if they ready to contribute. If Petrova is on board, give her time too.

Are most of you still thinking that the Wahine Team will be playing in the post season in both indoor, and beach volleyball, please think again, before you people get very disappointed. The only Hawaii Volleyball Team that will be in the Post Season will be the Men's Team. The downfall for the Wahine Team is that they do not have a Head Coach and staff, that is dedicated. They would rather spend their time coaching club volleyball, then making the Wahine Team better. As for the Hawaii Beach Team, they still do not truly have a Head Coach. Just one that is masquerading as one. Also, when was the last time the Wahine coaching staff had to look at the D2 and even D3 level for players. I am thinking, never. Just shows you how far the Wahine Team is falling under Robyn. They can no longer get a sniff from D1 players.

Truth be told, like it or not, the Wahine Team needs a Head Coach, and staff, that is dedicated to them 365 days a year, not just during the season. What Hawaii fans will be starting to see will be a Wahine Team, that will be trending downwards, due to the Head Coach, and staff, not being dedicated enough. By that I mean, not just sitting in their office, or coaching a Club team. They should be going on recruiting trips whenever possible seeking out talent. They did this when Coach Ang was here, but since Coach Ang left, I do not believe Robyn and her staff have ever gone on a recruiting trip, even once.

Looks like we missed the boat this year on portal transfers that could have helped us, too bad. Kinda bummed that we won't be getting Henke, I believe she would have made a difference. No doubt there will be growing pains this year, hopefully last year's veterans have worked on their skills in the off season and will show improvement next season.

So basically an unrealistic lifestyle

The blocking feature is a world changer especially on this particular thread. Mahalo to the VT creators who added this critically important feature.
