It's easy to say that haves, haves, and have-nots don't have. But the truth is that without the self-directed creation of the power football conferences, there would never be a powerhouse Kansas, Wisconsin, Louisville, or Baylor. If you have been on this earth long enough when this collegiate sport was pure and equal, there were only a few schools that stood at the top. Once football money came trickling down to the non-revenue sports like volleyball, that's when things changed, with more money, newer schools could buy their way into prominence. Enter NIL, and the mentality of some schools to pour money into sports without much interference from its state leaders and you got what you get now. Hawai'i has always had a road to climb just to get support from some of its legislature. Some of them made it their mission to micro-manage everything UH does when it comes to spending and athletics. Even when UH has had third-party funders ready to spend, since it's a state institution, they are chained to the fence. So saying they are on a decline is not accurate, to most, they are achieving great things in the situation that they are under. When they move to the Mountain West, hopefully, more money will trickle into the athletic department instead of the state's general funds at present. Great post! |

That was absolutely ridiculous examples that tex used, I laughed. Willouby numbers againts who ?? I guess being swept by UCSB and losing to UCI and being third in the lowly Big West with a 12=-7 record is quite an accomplishment... Lets be realistic this team is horrible Seems like you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. You’re baiting Hawaii fans about Alexander contemplating a transfer because she’s good, but now demean her results? Odd. |

As much as I would like to forget the UCSB match, going into the trip, Wahine fans would not have considered 2-1 on the swing a terrible result, and I think the win last night will make it hard for Bakersfield to land a Big West Tournament bid if it is still 6 teams. I hope the Wahine can avoid any more clunker performances at the SSC, as a good upcoming homestand would be huge for Big West positioning. now that UH is moving to MW, they wont be holding the BW Tourney in 2026. You still flying down? |

How the mighty have fallen. Hope she's able to figure things out. I really enjoyed watching her play, but it seems she'd been in a downward spiral after leaving UH. |

She isn’t flashy but she set a nice ball and got her hitters involved. |
