I don't think she can bring in a "ton of talent". If she had that ability she would have done it last year. As a few on here have said, she had a couple of bangers on the hook from the portal this past off-season but failed to reel them in. Have you ever wondered why that is? Could it be a communication problem??? Hmmm.... I think Robyn and staff do a good enough job with developing talent and game strategy (and I'm glad to see her more animated against UCD as opposed to earlier in the season). However, one of the most important jobs of a staff is to recruit - sell the program and the school. Up until this year Hawaii was doing okay in the Portal post-pandemic. De Goede and Kiraly weren't Portal departures. But losing Paula late without a significant addition was a big blow. Too late to react to it, but on the other hand they hadn't landed anyone earlier either. Another year of not being able to get an impact player, especially if losing another one, will be a huge disappointment.

An overused cliche but the Wahine's season journey has been a roller coaster ride. I'd like to see us perform consistently at the level we were playing at vs Davis yesterday. We've been beating the better BWC teams on the road fairly easily but seem to backslide vs lower tiered teams (CSUN, UCR, UCSB) at home and on the road. Here's to seeing more peak team performances and zero valley level ones the rest of the way, its getting exhausting :-P Congrats to the pins for their strong showing this weekend, not sure what's going on with Sylvester...she's been struggling for awhile now.

Well those Bows did it again and brought home an IMPERATIVE win. I like reading everyone's takes on the program, yes even Mizz Freebie aka wahinefan at times. Good points were brought up everywhere. We'll just have to wait to see how this cookie crumbles but it'll always go GO BOWS for me. So it is said So it is done....cricket

Some of you folks just need to accept where the Wahine are this year and give it a rest. You can post the same thing over and over again and it's not going to add any thing new to what you've already established as your opinion. It's wild that people would get so worked up over and over again on the same thing over and over again. Isn't that the definition of insanity? LOL. Aya... Well said yasss It's more exhausting reading through the posts than watching the Wahine play. aiyyyy makalapua'oe

Anyone remember how travel was set up for women's volleyball back when UH was in the WAC? Was it the same concept of travel pairs coming to Hawaii? And what about road games?

Shifting gears:
Signing day must be soon correct? So we have Reid and Biondi. I'm assuming the local libero out of Punahou is a walk on.
Seems like this class is more to provide depth.
A little concerned 2026 only has Purser.
Hopefully we don't have a large amount of transfers after this season >_<. The roster is fragile going into the 2025 IMO. 2025 could be a great season, but any major losses to the roster would set Hawaii back - especially if it's amongst the starters.
I'd say there's always the transfer portal could shore it up, but we all know how that went lol.

If not then Hawaii will desperately need some impact transfers

Lol yes it does. Shut up. Your sh!t opinion of the staff and the arbitrary parameters you’ve set of what makes them worthy of holding the positions mean less than nothing and it’s a shame that we all have to be constantly subjected to you and wahinefan’s constant b!tching. You have invalidated everyone else’s responses about why the staff should be given a break on several issues and I don’t see why I should validate yours just because. So you're too immature to understand...got it.... It must be so convenient to call me immature rather than seeing where you are at any fault. Lol just keep giggling your fupa all around the thread, you make it such an enjoyable environment.

We had a large freshman class last season and we don’t need another big freshman class. We already have the players to replace our two departing seniors. Andrianna for Kate and Victoria for Tayli. We need to bring experience to push the starters and to sub in if a starter struggles.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jackie starts as our setter next season.
