Leyva comes in and serves an ace. Welcome to Manoa. Stella can pound, she is passing half the court. Caylen is hitting from all areas. Pipe, bic, d set. Paula also from the d set, right and left. Jacyn likes the tempo 2 set but her money shot is a wide step out. Kateʻs sets are tighter and faster. But she can tempo set as needed. UH 21- UNLV 11

I am liking some of the clips I've seen so far. I always thought that Stella had some good footwork. Just a little more polishing with the arm swing and I can see her being a threat.
I'm also enjoying the clips of Colby Lane. At least on floor defense, she looks sturdy and seems to be a decent reader.
Go Bows!

Paula G with 12 kills no errors wow, hopefully she helps take the Wahine to new heights this season. Is she hitting harder?

Dakota Quinlan was a middle last year for UNLV - where is she playing now, OPP? OH?
She was always interesting for me to watch - she would use her left hand a lot from the middle for off sets/misconnections and it scored a lot.

I haven't seen clips of her floor defense. But I remember last year that, while she didn't seem particularly skilled, she was at least aggressive. Coupled with her apparent athleticism and the Wahine's staffs emphasis on floor defense, and it could be a recipe for faster-than-usual improvement.

I wish Mili enrolled early lol yea, still not impressed with some of the development or performance of our current players. RAM should definitely assess scholarship allocations for next year

Woo hoo! The Wahine edge past UNLV in 5! Go Bows! From the box score, the Wahine were very high error, committing 28 total hitting errors and hitting only .194 against the Rebels at .260. The Rebels out-blocked the Wahine 9-4. The Wahine held a slight edge in digs at 62–58 and kills at 59–56. It looks like the match was won and lost at the service line, with the Wahine tallying 10 aces against only 9 service errors, while the Rebels had 4 aces to 15 service errors. Caylen posted a nice stat line, going 18-5-5 for a .371 hitting percentage while throwing in 12 digs. I cannot comment on the quality of play since I wasn't at the match.
