why wasn't kipp set more... baird in my opinion should be been subbed out for Julia ... but i'm guessing they are going to redshirt her.. i would have set rubin more, if kipp wasn't 100 percent. at somepoint service pressure isn't as important as putting the ball in play and trusting your team. last time i checked... volleyball is a team sport. but shucks. as irritating as it is. I'm excited to see what next years cardinal will be. kuddos to maddie skinner, she can hit cross court against a team that didn't adjust. Kipp wasn't that terminal tonight, so not sure if that would have made much of a difference. I don't think Stanford can redshirt Blyashov because she played in some matches this season, unless the redshirt rules have changed. Stanford will be ok next year, probably not NCAA Championship material, but ranking somewhere around #10 nationally. They bring back Rubin, Miner, Oglivie, and Francis. Blyashov will replace Baird. Andrew (new recruit) will replace Vicini, and likely Harvey replaces Kipp. Because Pitt is loaded, Stanford finishes either 2nd or 3rd in the ACC if they can manage the travel ok. I hate that they will have to travel to the east coast for all of their games! The PAC 12 dissolving really left a big mess!! |

number 2 in class Sami Francis
number 2 in class julia blyashov
number 3 in class elia rubin
number 5 in class kami miner
who knows what Lizzie Andrew will be but thats still loaded as a team .

Is she as good as O’Neil? Regardless of how tall she is the stats indicate they are about even. She is better than Molly Phillips, and I think Carter Booth is better or equal to Asjia. Anna mostly plays RS. Asjia is likely going to push for a spot on the Paris roster… now which middle is better than her in the ncaa? |

23 final fours and 9 NC’s. We’ll be okay. Feel free to try and catch up. So if any of these Final Four coaches wanted to go to Stanford, would you take them? Cook, Sheff, Fisher, Elliott. They seem to be getting better results. Well Cook is the best coach in the game so that seems like a safe bet. |

Francis has been a disappointment. This isn't all her fault either having to play OH as a freshman and dealing with injuries, but offense and defense wrt to her ranking haven't materialized. All we have is hope that another off season of training will improve her blocking and attacking significantly. More consistency from match to match is sorely needed also. |

They seem to be getting better results. Who wouldn't want Cook? But the only place he's going after Nebraska is a warm beach for retirement. I wouldn't take Elliott in a million years. I would stop coming to matches. Sheff is a goofball, but I definitely respect what he has done in Wisconsin. I don't want to start anything here, but no I wouldn't want Fisher. Results? Ok. Throw out the Covid years 20-21, and you have Hambly reaching final four in 3 of 5 years, winning 2 NC's. I'm fine with that. However, I agree with others that a coach hasn't completely arrived, or completely proven himself/herself until he/she has won with his/her own recruits. Dunning and Corlett had a nice squad with NC experience under their belt waiting for Hambly when he arrived. He rode that to 3 FF's, 2 NC's. Honestly he should have won 3 NC's. So yeah, he needs to show he can recruit and coach his own recruits to the FF and NC. His style fits well at Stanford, he's done fairly well, so he's not on any hot seat or anything. Let's see what happens in next 3-4 years. |

Congratulations to the Longhorns. I had been considering a trip to Tampa, but will not be going to a Final Four where I can say I would not be rooting for any of the four teams and would be rooting against more than one of them.

Stanford was dreadful. What a waste of all that talent. It's a bit unacceptable to say the least. I just watched that match with confusion. They showed zero improvement from their season opener..... and many seemed not to care. Horrible coaching? Perhaps, I dunno. But that was a train wreck.
Texas won with ease. Swindle playing much better, she has them clicking now.
