Did anyone else notice that in transition, Texas let's Akana and Halter take a lot more second balls even if Swindle didn't take the first? I noticed this during both the Stanford and Wisconsin match. Swindle would be very close to the second ball but Akana or Halter would step in. It seemed more prevalent when Swindle is front row and blocking. Maybe it has something to do with the injury the announcers mentioned during the semis? Or maybe I am overreading. Would appreciate the insight! With Swindles foot they are waiving her off more since the chance of getting a better set are higher than her trying chase it down. Thank you! That makes sense. I didn't know about the injury till later in the semis game, which is why I found the waving off odd. She definitely seemed to be mobile and got to the balls quickly! The high quality passes definitely helped. |
