I am so upset that I have to coach on Sunday during the time of the match. Scheduling a club volleyball tournament on the day of the NCAA Volleyball Championship is so bad- counterproductive in the push of growing the game. Lots of lost viewers, and from the age range that could be so inspired by watching the match. maybe you can find a big screen and ask them to project the game onto it? Half kidding...

Is there any type of âticket allocationâ for the final or final four? I mean allocations to say, the sweet 16 teams? Or absolutely nothing exists like that in any form? Nothing saying there should or shouldnât be but just curious.

For as much as fans of the two hate each other, there is a lot of crossover between the two ADs. Not just in volleyball too. And no Longhorn football fans, you still can't blame us for Tim Beck. We told you how that one was going to end. We told you. Why do you keep using the word hate, Chas? Do you live in hate? Nebraska fans are known to be the most respectful fans and don't hate on Texas fans or any other fans. What is the crossover between Trev Alberts and Chris Del Conte? ⌠Dude what? You might want to look at usernames occasionally. Edit: Also I was using AD short for Athletic Department not Director.

For as much as fans of the two hate each other, there is a lot of crossover between the two ADs. Not just in volleyball too. And no Longhorn football fans, you still can't blame us for Tim Beck. We told you how that one was going to end. We told you. We didnât need Nebraska fans to tell us anything about Tim Beck. He was terrible at Colorado. We didnât need Colorado fans to tell us anything. He was fired from calling plays and the Ohio State fans were high fiving each other when Herman hired him. We didnât need their counsel, either. The uproar was so bad about that crappy hire, Herman felt the need to âaddressâ it at his first press conference. And by address it, I mean he looked in the camera and basically told us his Mensa self knew way more than we did. He didnât need the fans and boosters to give him advice on who to hire. He was going to trust the former players he had coached, and they all said Tim Beck was wonderful, and that was that. His whole staff was a try hard small college staff with almost no experience - ANYWHERE - at the Power 5 level either playing or coaching. And for the people who had coached at the power 5 level, the results were really bad. I took such hard shots at the crappy coaching staff online one of the Longhorn bloggers, Wescott Eberts, quoted me in a blog he wrote saying why I was so wrong and didnât know anything. Three years later practically the whole staff was gone. He also brought on someone involved with the Baylor crap, and we made a big uproar about that. Which he promptly ignored and told us he knew better. He and his agent successfully pressured an interim athletic director and president to quickly hire him before LSU did. He ended up having all the leverage. And at a school which can easily carry the highest payroll in college football if needed, he put together his small school try hard staff because it was more important not to be challenged than to go out and get the best. Since 1987 weâve made 4 really bad coaching hires. David McWilliams, John Mackovic, Charlie Strong, and Tom Herman. And weâve paid a price for it. No Texas fan is ever going to blame Nebraska for Tim Beck. We knew exactly what we were getting the moment that hire was made. And the whole incident made it crystal clear what we were getting in Mensa Tom Herman, too. Nobody blamed Nebraska for anything regarding Tom Herman. Joking I was. Serious it was not.

So excited for this match đ¤ I first started watching college volleyball in 2015 when I stumbled upon a Nebraska game on big10 network and was amazed with how they played, became a fan instantly. Once I started to watch more teams, me eyes fell on Texas ofc being my home state!! later on that year I struggled bc my two fav teams would be in the final. ever since then Iâve been a die hard Texas fan bc of that loss!! Hook âem!! Still love Nebraska tho <3

I can tell you no one has ever talked about how competitive and exciting the championship match was last year. The 1st and 3rd sets werenât blowouts, but the whole thing had a feeling of inevitability about it, and the sweep itself was dominating, even if each individual set was not. Iâll tell you what. DBK wasnât talking about how exciting and competitive that match was in the post match conference. Anyway, the main point is I didnât care about it being a showcase for volleyball. I want the win. oh I know no one was saying the match was close and exciting, but the reality is two of the sets louisville scored 22 and 24. texas was clearly the best team in the country all year and if they played at their best no one was gonna take a set from them imo. watching the match I also felt it was dominating but thats also because I knew texas was going to win after halfway through the first set when it was clear they weren't having an off day - but the box score and stats show it was really just the 2nd set that was majority swayed in one teams advantage So I donât understand. I said it was a dominating sweep and I still liked it. What are we arguing about? It was a dominating sweep even if the sets were competitive. You felt like the result was inevitable. I felt like the result was inevitable. The viewers thought the result was inevitable. You could see from the Louisville playersâ body language some of them thought it was inevitable, too. Iâm saying I donât care how much of a showcase of volleyball the championship match is, as long as Texas wins, and now weâre in some kind of weird discussion about last year.

Well I was never responding to anything regarding how you view wins and what you want to see from the championship match in the first place. I was responding to one single word from your original post and it had nothing to with your hopes for this next match. I was just saying that aside from the 2nd set, according to the score and stats, it wasn't one team dominating the other. I also wasn't aware we were arguing at all?

If you could guarantee me a Texas win I would love a back and forth close 5-setter. At the end of the day those wins are so much more fun as a fan, knowing it could have gone either way. During the match though, Iâm rooting for a 3-set comfortable win all day.
