ooo cook taking a stab at texas using transfers in the presser... yikes Cook really shouldn’t go there. At all. He’s had transfers in to help Nebraska since Kelsey Robinson came from Tennessee her senior year. Also, I recall he poached a great middle from LSU (?) several years back. And isn't Beason a transfer as well? Cook is the biggest hypocrite in college volleyball. And his tears taste delicious.

Cook could save your mother from a burning building and you'd find something to gripe about. Enjoy the Husker loss. He probably couldn’t carry her out though … decent shape for 67 buttons still |

Totally agree. Yes, it's a huge change from the past, but it's here and every program has access to it. The portal, extra Covid years, NIL etc. Get over it. I get that some people don't like it and I might even agree with some points made against these things. But being able to take advantage of things that are available doesn't somehow qualify or diminish achievements such as championships. I’d say if your a coach at a top team and you are not actively trying to better your team with the portal you are hurting your team and not doing your job. Agreed. I think transfers will decrease after Covid years are done but the portal is here to stay, so coaches either need to accept it and use it or not comment on it. Say what you want about the portal but overall it benefits the student athletes and their mental health. Student athletes don’t want to be beaten down or mistreated by coaches and it’s way easier to leave if you’re not happy with how a coach treats you or runs a program. Players don’t want to be told to suck it up when it comes to mental health anymore. Yes players will use the portal for other reasons but Overall I think it will increase student athlete well being in a way that is not talked about often. There are not many people on this board who have played D1 or any level of ncaa womens volleyball, but as a former D1 women’s athlete I can speak to how challenging it is mentally, physically, and emotionally. Players want coaches to recognize it and don’t want to “tough it out” the way they used to be told to. The portal holds coaches and programs accountable in a way they never have been before. Either treat your players right or they will leave🤷♀️ |

So Purdue and PS took Nebraska to 5; and they lost to Wisconsin 0-3, a month ago. Interesting. I just found the whole thing fascinating. Wisconsin was not on their game at all. In fact it was a team I didn’t even recognize. I wonder behind the scenes if something serious was going on? I’ve never seen a team implode like that. I really feel for them because they were on an absolute roll at the end of the season.Did you SEE it again today?  At least the Badgers managed to win one set against Texas . . . |

Why? We took our medicine after we lost. Say aaahhh😂😂 your players shouldn't have had to be at the post match press conference, either. Of course they should. They’ve been in 50 press conferences celebrating how great they are, this is the other side of that coin. It sucks, but do it with the same dignity and grace you e done all year. |

Those of you saying players from the losing team should not have to be there… STOP IT. Part of being an athlete is to accept losses even when you are embarrassed.. put your big girl pants on and give credit where credit is due. Texas out played you.
As far as Cook and O’Neil doing USA.. if he had an athlete that was doing that he would not apologize. He would puff out his chest and say something like “When you come to Nebraska those opportunities are there”
As far as the portal.. he needs to keep quiet. As has been said
he has used the portal as well. How does a team combat a team that has the #1 recruiting class.. go build a team in the portal.. totally legal and ethical.
