It’s like choosing between bin Laden or Saddam Hussein. There is no right answer. Blech. Given our long and close relationship I thought for sure you would root for the huskers.

So this is going to be Akana's 3rd straight championship game I think? She's had an amazing run on good teams.

Y'all Horns got the national championship last year. Can we have it this time? Pretty please? Sorry, we don't share very well.

I like our chances against Texas. Volleyball math means that Nebraska can’t beat Wisconsin but if Texas beats Wisconsin then Nebraska can beat Texas. This makes sense, right? Anyways I’m excited to see two freshman setters on the floor. Skinner will ball out, but Nebraska coaching staff knows a thing or two about how to slow down a hot player. Lexi will be up to the challenge, I hope Laney is on it as well. Harper’s backrow play, especially, passing, will be critical in this match. We need Ally to channel her 2021 self and Beason to have her usual high efficiency and output. Go big red!! Volleyball math says Stanford beats Texas. Volleyball math says Wisconsin beats Texas. It must be new math.

The Evil Empire versus The Evil Empire. (For the uber SF&F nerd in me, it's The Empire versus The Borg.) I can't wait.

Volleyball is such a crazy sport. Truly felt that the Wisconsin/Oregon match was levels above the Texas/Stanford match. Then last night happens. Thinking Nebraska looked the best yesterday of all 4 but who knows. I can really see this final going either way which was not the case 2 days ago.

That is volleyball

If the orange win Sunday, they will have beaten three of the four #1 seeds in this year's tournament.

Insane that for some of the Texas girls this is their third Championship appearance and for Skinner an Akana from two different schools!

There is no team we’d love to hate more than Texas. horns1 leads this evil empire on Volleytalk. I am picking Texas to win the 2023 National Championship

Player comparisons each position (all these players are amazing) Skinner > Murray Batenhorst > Wenaas O’Neal > Jackson Allick > Bergmark Beason > Phillips Reilly > Swindle Rodriguez > Halter although Halter is the reason Texas beat Wisconsin. If she plays at her semifinal level this is way closer than most people think. Akana > Choboy > Barnes Texas is the better serving team but Nebraska is the better passing team. On paper I think the edge goes to Nebraska.

...and each team has a current assistant coach who was formerly an assistant at the other. For as much as fans of the two hate each other, there is a lot of crossover between the two ADs. Not just in volleyball too. And no Longhorn football fans, you still can't blame us for Tim Beck. We told you how that one was going to end. We told you.
