Insane that for some of the Texas girls this is their third Championship appearance and for Skinner an Akana from two different schools! Texas is lucky Skinner is on their side this time. |

Player comparisons each position (all these players are amazing) Skinner > Murray Batenhorst > Wenaas O’Neal > Jackson Allick > Bergmark Beason > Phillips Reilly > Swindle Rodriguez > Halter although Halter is the reason Texas beat Wisconsin. If she plays at her semifinal level this is way closer than most people think. Akana > Choboy > Barnes Texas is the better serving team but Nebraska is the better passing team. On paper I think the edge goes to Nebraska. Akana>Choboy is interesting. What is Akana passing on the season? |

I also think she is a big match player. Choboy should be a serving target for Texas. |

Rodriguez > Halter although Halter is the reason Texas beat Wisconsin. If she plays at her semifinal level this is way closer than most people think. Last night, Halter > Rodriguez. If Halter plays at her semifinal level in the finals, Halter > Rodriguez again, even if Rodriguez plays her best. |

Though both get considerably less touches compared to the Lib, Akana gets more touches than Choboy, and on a good night passes pretty lights out. Sidenote she had some good plays last night, shame that the other team kept siding out immediately her serve. But I would say, and particularly as of late, Choboy has been better w/ coverage post-serve, definitely more dynamic. Channeling it is the task i suppose lol. Final point, oddly enough I think I'm a bigger fan of Kaylei now that she's at texas lol something just clicked in my brain I guess. |

Texas' strength seems to be serving. Nebraska's strength is passing. It will be interesting to see which one prevails. I think it will be Nebraska. They're too solid in all aspects of the game. But Texas is COMPETING so I don't expect it to be easy.
I just hope for a close match. The semis were a bit of a letdown.

They both just played their bast matches of the season - if they are both locked in, have a good game plan and do the small things well this will be incredible volleyball and must watch TV!
