So Purdue and PS took Nebraska to 5; and they lost to Wisconsin 0-3, a month ago. Interesting. Nebraska historically does a very good job of peaking in December. PSU played lights out for 2 sets and it was in a very hostile environment, if anything that match did Nebraska a huge favor mentally. Purdue was a long time ago. Wisconsin also played lights out and needed that win to clinch a 1 seed while Nebraska already had the 1 seed and a Big 10 title. It was also at Wisconsin. So I guess interesting is one way to describe that.

Eh, their struggling is not the same as others struggling. We'll see! Here are the Nebraska and Texas passing numbers as of Nov 20. The numbers can be found here.Nebraska Lexi Rodriguez 2.45 / 65.7GP% Harper Murray 2.24/ 57.4 GP% Laney Choboy 2.27/ 58.0 GP% Ally Batenhorst 2.14/ 56.1 GP% Texas Emma Halter 2.22 / 57.9 GP% Carissa Barnes 2.04 / 47.4 GP% Jenna Wenaas 1.94 / 41.6 GP% Keonilei Akana 2.07 / 48.2 GP% Madisen Skinner 2.03 / 51.1 GP% This! Expect both to be extremely well prepared for scouting/lineup schemes. I always trust a more balanced offense, HUSKERS IN 4

This final just makes me wanna point out that the top of the SEC was actually really damn good this year. Arkansas and Tennessee pushed Nebraska and Texas to the limit and were the only real challenges either have seen

Did anyone else notice that in transition, Texas let's Akana and Halter take a lot more second balls even if Swindle didn't take the first?
I noticed this during both the Stanford and Wisconsin match. Swindle would be very close to the second ball but Akana or Halter would step in. It seemed more prevalent when Swindle is front row and blocking.
Maybe it has something to do with the injury the announcers mentioned during the semis? Or maybe I am overreading. Would appreciate the insight!

Texas fans correct me if I’m wrong but she’s still not fully recovered so obviously they are doing some damage control by stepping in to help her from having to really push herself in terms of mobility right now, same reason as to why she isn’t jump setting. Better to prevent any further injury then have her do the most and hurt herself even more by pushing too hard. Although she definitely seems to be moving better as of late.

Aside from one let-down game against Wisconsin after clinching the B1G outright, this is arguably the best Nebraska team in history, and maybe one of the best defensive volleyball teams in the history of the sport.
Still going to be a battle. Huskers in 5.
