Sarah Hickman, the Badgers want YOU! 🫵🏼 Word is that she’s going to take her visits.

Is the 7/8 camp the one to be on the lookout for newest and future recruits? ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240625/e4f258d1cc317344f0d168b81c025604.png)

Which also means extra seats got gobbled up by people who probably donate 5 figures+ annually and the rest of us schleps never had a chance... The ticket office says they're tracking and will revoke season tickets from those who are reselling (reselling how many I don't know, cuz there are sometimes games one just can't get to.) I sent them email again, as I had done last year, asking them to revise their method and change it to length of time being a season ticket holder as those who get the earliest shots at Badger Select... We see how that turned out... As I did last year, if I can't make a game, I will offer my seats on here at face value and trust somebody isn't reselling them to make a buck...

I can kind of understand Watson's decision. You've got Flanagan and Thompson already committed in her class. Una will probably be a sophomore. Quest, who I expect to be great, will only be a sophomore. TSC will be a junior. That's a pretty stacked pin pitter lineup.
A left handed RS would be a great addition.

When’s the last time UW had a left-handed front row player? Mikaelsen??

When’s the last time UW had a left-handed front row player? Mikaelsen?? I'm sure there's been one since, but I have fond memories from college of Jill Odenthal's big lefty swings.

Why not flip it? Visits start June 15th and commits can begin August 1? Hmmm. What about contacts starting June 15th, visits July 15 and start official commits soon after - maybe the Monday after the second weekend of visits? After a kid has a great visit, I just don't see making them wait 6 weeks before they can tell everyone their decision as a blessing to them. Having commits rolling in during the end of July and in August as a lead-up to the season would be great momentum as well.

I’m not exactly sure where things break as far as selection times, but I’m a $2500 level donor, and tickets sold out before my selection time (2:30 today). I’m guessing $5000 level donors likely had to make do with the Red seats, as those all got gobbled up by the end of the day yesterday. I sincerely hope that they’re specifically tracking who is selling tickets to the big time matches for big $$$, and not penalizing anyone for selling the random Directional State matches where things just come up and you can’t make it. Selling Nebraska/Minnesota/Penn State tickets simply to cover the costs of your season tickets, much less make a profit for the season, is pretty lame. Thats what they should be coming down on, and revoking those people’s tickets.

I’m not finding many highlights of Morgan Van Wie, left-handed S. Has anyone seen her play? What do we know about her? Is there any chance she could play another position?
On the topic of newcomers, I have high hopes for Lola and Maile's passing. I read somewhere that Maile played professional in Barcelona for FC Barca VB!

I kind of like the idea of Calls June 15, Offers June 15, Visits June 15 but commits can’t begin until August 15. If the concern is that athletes feel pressure to commit before taking the time to visit and make a decision, allowing them time to speak to coaches, and visit but setting the commit date back could solve the problem. Yes there will be athletes that already know where they want to go and have known for some time but perhaps for the majority of ones that don’t, this may alleviate some of the pressure.

It is in the best interest of everyone to have a robust aftermarket for tickets, even if that means some degree of scalping.
