Christina Lorey is reporting that Sarah is 100% and will be back at practice tomorrow. I'm not sure what news organization she is with, but I keep seeing her news reporting in my FB feed.

That’s not what Sheff said in the link above, or at least he said they are not going to have her jump for a while. Only passing and defense.

Well, I'm sure she will be AT practice, but... maybe not practicing?

Cardinal, and white. Cardinal. And white. Yes, because sports teams have NEVER released a different color schemes than their usual before, absolutely never. It's not like they do it for every occasion on the planet. What a sacrilegious thought!

This might be a similar situation to “John STOCCO threw the last pass in practice” type of situation. The FB coach stated that to the media, but failed to note it was a left handed pass because the QB’s right arm was in a sling and couldn’t actually practice.

The older of the student newspapers, the Daily Cardinal, has been publishing since 1892. Sacrilege is a very good, very apt way to put it. It would indeed be sacrilege.

No one's arguing that Wisconsin changes it complete color schemes, so I don't know why you're acting as if having a black uniform is some personal affront. Detroit Lions black uniforms: www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39971514/detroit-lions-new-uniform (their colors are blue and white, but I guess they made black work huh?) Houston Cougars' blue unis: www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2023/08/31/houston-cougars-unveil-oilers-inspired-football-uniforms/70728041007/ (their colors are red and white usually) Florida's black uniforms: x.com/GatorsFB/status/1720860486302929141 (guess what the Gator's color schemes are? Nothing to do with black that's for sure). Milwaukee Bucks' blue city uniforms: onmilwaukee.com/articles/bucks-city-edition-uniform-2023-official (the Buck's colors throughout their history are white, green, and sometimes purple and red here and there, but I guess they didn't freak out when blue was brought up?) Even in volleyball, Louisville had a one-off camo theme uniform they wore like last year or two years ago. It's fun and it can help sell merchandise. What exactly is the problem again?

To reiterate a truism about academic debates: they are so vicious precisely because there is nothing at stake.
I feel like the debate about jersey colors fits that mold.

I'm not "acting like it would be a personal affront". I would actually take it as a personal affront. An affront to the 140 some year tradition and history of UW sports. You can have your opinion. This is mine.

Which I took, and take, as a personal affront. IIRC, they lost while wearing them, too. So why stop at black? Why not Michigan State green, or Illinois orange? I love the deep purple Northwestern uses; how about purple?
