I remember when I was a kid and everyone lost their minds over the new W. They were SO ANGRY. It's funny in retrospect.

She sounds about ready. Good news. This might be a similar situation to “John STOCCO threw the last pass in practice” type of situation. The FB coach stated that to the media, but failed to note it was a left handed pass because the QB’s right arm was in a sling and couldn’t actually practice. Eh, I'm not feeling that from this situation. I think that unless there's some surprising setback that she will be basically 100% by Louisville.

For all the doubters and conspiracy theorists, this was Sarah's comment on Monday:
"I'm feeling good, ready to go for the season. And we kind of get to play it by ear, see when I'll be back. But it shouldn't be too long, too crazy".
I'm looking forward to the first nasty cut shot against Louisville.

That 1948 logo is so awesome. I've got some glassware with this logo and it looks great.

I think she’ll be ready for Louisville. I think they are going to ease her into practices though and they are wise to do that.

I'm happily surprised that there were (and still are) tickets available. As noted, only Nebraska sold out.
I have a friend who's been trying to get season tickets and hasn't been able to. So he wanted me to get tickets for him to a handful of matches, and I was able to.
(Not cheap, however. Sliding scale, depending on the match. $10 for GA vs Bradley, $25 vs Texas A+M and Wash, $30 vs Oregon and Penn State, EG.)
Penn State may be the next to sell out - GA gone, some Red still available. Otherwise, tickets available.

Absolutely love the new uniforms! They’re the same sleeveless style as the USA Women’s Olympic Team, that allow for maximum arm movement.

I'm not "acting like it would be a personal affront". I would actually take it as a personal affront. An affront to the 140 some year tradition and history of UW sports. You can have your opinion. This is mine. I'm Team robtearle. Not that I have a dog in this fight, but I have had these online discussions for 30 years now regarding UT's burnt orange and white. It's amazing to me how many people admire an Oregon style approach to the school uniforms. Nothing against Oregon, because it's a signature for them now, but I have no desire to see my school emulate it. Citing professional teams, which is a completely different dynamic, or the Houston Cougars, which is desperately trying to galvanize neutral observers to follow the team in a city dominated by UT, A&M and even LSU, by copying the most iconic uniforms the city has ever known, is not compelling to me when it comes to a university with a tradition of holding up its colors as a central part of its identity, which Wisconsin does. It's less like the Milwaukee Bucks changing their uniform, and more like the Yankees moving away from pinstripes, or the Dallas Cowboys replacing the star on their helmet with a caricature of a cowboy. Every school can do what they want for their own reasons. When Phil Knight donates over a billion dollars to your athletic department and then wants multiple colorful uniforms for merchandising purposes, it's at least understandable that the colors and style of the uniform becomes a lot less sacrosanct. I'm a little more flexible when it comes to volleyball uniforms, because I don't think they're quite the signature look that the football uniforms create, but I'm still uncomfortable with adding colors that aren't part of the official identity of the school just to freshen up the look. Darrell Royal had a great quote one time when asked about changing up the uniforms, "Hell no I'm not going to candy them up. These are work clothes."

Hey Badger fans...Just a reminder:
Purdue's single session tickets went on sale today. They include the Oct. 26, 3:30 p.m. match at Mackey Arena on NBC with the Badgers and Boilermakers. Just in case you're thinking about going: purduesports.evenue.net/events/VB

Which I took, and take, as a personal affront. IIRC, they lost while wearing them, too. So why stop at black? Why not Michigan State green, or Illinois orange? I love the deep purple Northwestern uses; how about purple? Age and the inflexibility that comes therein.

I love the deep purple Northwestern uses; how about purple? Age and the inflexibility that comes therein. Age has absolutely nothing to do with it. I'd have objected to black jerseys (or green or purple) every bit as strongly when I was a UW student in the late 1970s. The difference is then nobody would have ever even suggested such a thing.

Last year Coach Kelly met with season ticket holders prior to the first match outside at the upper terrace in Camp Randall. Has anyone heard anything about this year? It was very well done and we got to watch the football team practice at the same time. I took the granddaughter she loved it. They let the kids try on championship rings and gave some stuff away.
