It's a vice president meeting a team and had nothing political to say. Does your eyesight prevent you from seeing grey, black and white or is it challenges contextualizing? Please get a grip. There was literally multiple Harris Walz signs all posted all over in the video. But wait you said this isn’t political at all.. 🙃 Take your own advice

Kind of funny to me that of the 10 players there only 4 of them are American haha! You have 3 Canadians, 2 Poles, and a Serbian.
The rest maybe red. That's why it's a bad idea for the team.
Or maybe the rest couldn't make it, because they're busy college student-athletes who have to balance their time among multiple interests and commitments.

Only 10 of the 16 on the team. Notably missing is Schumaker, Damrow, and Franklin, I believe.

I could see CC, Sarah, & Damrow being red voters. I could also be wrong, doesn’t matter to me when it comes to volleyball. I would have loved to meet Harris however & would have been star struck for sure like Devyn especially appears to be lol Devyn and Charlie and Chan seem to really be awed.

the visit, especially before the big match.
For starters that x post should have not been placed in the volleyball thread. The obvious political nature of it should have made that common sense. But that is sooo exciting for the girls. I'm sure it was discussed and anyone not wanting to greet Harris would have been afforded the opportunity to decline. These girls have a great bond I can guarantee that politics wont change the mission tbey are on or cause any personal rifts. This was a good idea and the girls get a moment they will never forget. Exactly right. We all deal with political differences with the people we work with and have close relationships with. Welcome to life, perhaps another life lesson by Coach Sheffield.

none of the coaches made it too. ummm.
who wouldn't skip a class for this 'life-time opportunity'? It is not like they never skip classes on a road game day.
Believe in your excuse though.

The coaches are state employees, and may have felt it inappropriate. Or they declined, so that the focus was on the players. Dildine is married to another woman. Project 2025 would have her marriage annuled. I think we can make a reasonable guess who she supports in the election.

It's great they got to meet her! The governor is such a loyal UW volleyball fan. I'm sure it meant a lot to him, too. 😻 Smrek seemed extra excited. Also I think the coaches were off camera.

VP visiting a successful female college volleyball team. For the the foreign players this is probably especially exciting.

It's actually hilarious how many non-Americans were there lmfao Why hilarious? Women seeing other women who are successful ! Americans? Women!!!! Because I find it ironic and funny that for that particular visit. Relax. I'm sure the non-Americans were still excited to see the next POTUS

If you follow Terry Pettit on facebook, he had a really interesting post about the WI/Neb match. Friday, Nov 1, 8 pm CT Nebraska / Wisconsin at the UW Fieldhouse Nebraska: 20-1 Conference: 10-0 Streak:17 Road record: 4-1 Wisconsin: 15-4 Conference: 9-1 Streak: 9-0 Home record 8-0 Mascots: Nebraska: Large inflatable goofy kid. Wisconsin: Nocturnal hunter that will eat your Goldendoodle. Is this the most important meeting between these two teams this year? No. Is this the second most important meeting between these two teams this Year? Possibly. The most important will be is these two teams meet in Louisville in either the semifinals or the National Championship match. Conference statistics Nebraska: 14.62 kills per set Wisconsin: 13.44 kills per set Nebraska: 1.18 aces per set Wisconsin: 1.91 aces per set Nebraska: 2.43 blocks per set Wisconsin: 3.71 blocks per set Nebraska: Serve Reception percentage: 97.4% Wisconsin: 93.8% Defensive Challenge for Nebraska: Not allowing Sara Franklin to take over a set. Defensive Challenge for Wisconsin: Transition when Fuerbringer digs the ball. A decision for John Cook: Krause or Landfair at L2. A decision for Kelly Sheffield: Robinson or Crawford at M2. Why is Franklin so good at attack? Her approach is much more upright than that of other left-side attackers. Her posture is similar to a jump shot in basketball. She sees the block better, allowing her to adjust by cutting the ball sharp or cupping the ball down the line, both with velocity. Why is Murray better this year? Her arm speed and power have improved significantly. She also has great court awareness. Think of her as a major league pitcher who can throw the high heater or a slow-breaking changeup with equal precision, and she has the instincts as to when either will work. • In the BIG, Wisconsin is attacking .314, opponents .125. • In the BIG, Nebraska is attacking .294 opponents .171. • Things to look for: Wisconsin is more likely to shift their rotations for a matchup. • Which team is more effective with back-row attack. Wisconsin has that option in six rotations, Nebraska 4 to 5 rotations. Beason is hitting a healthy .288 on back-row attack. • Does Wisconsin starve Lexi Rodriguez? • Which team does the best job of attacking the setter? • If you have read this far, tell me below which statistic will determine the winner of the match: kills or attack errors? Suggestion: turn down the sound and listen to John Baylor and Lauren Cook on the radio. You may have to delay the video broadcast on your TV for it to synch up. www.facebook.com/terry.pettit.10/posts/pfbid0n2tFXVSCFRyNp29ps4Y3Q5T56kehCFLRfnnzREcHzK5ptUN5BC3nWnFKxzTx63F2l

I have signs on my lawn and can still water it without it being a political statement. I can even greet my neighbors, neighbors who disagree with me from said lawn with political signs and it isn't a political conversation. Seems I'm not the one who needs to get a grip.🙃 🙄

There is a wide range of possibilities, for all of it and all involved. So why speculate about anyone's motivations and reasonings?
