Or they didn't like the idea, but they couldn't say no?
There is a wide range of possibilities, for all of it and all involved. So why speculate about anyone's motivations and reasonings? Honestly who cares? Everyone should learn to mind their business and we'd be so much better off. Oh, and they should recognize when it's their business...seems to be some confusion on that matter.

none of the coaches made it too. ummm.
The coaches are state employees, and may have felt it inappropriate. Or they declined, so that the focus was on the players. Dildine is married to another woman. Project 2025 would have her marriage annuled. I think we can make a reasonable guess who she supports in the election. There is no Hatch Act at the State level and she is sitting VP. Maybe "inappropriate" if she were just a candidate.

He lives in Madison, will show up from time to time at UW women's hockey, and used to work for the UW. He told me he took the job at Marquette as opposed to staying at UW because he felt like he's have more 'freedom' to conduct his polls without having to worry about the implications of polling a WI governor's race; that is, polling about the guy who signs his paycheck. Yes, there's no Hatch Act at the state level...

The rest maybe red. That's why it's a bad idea for the team.
I could see CC, Sarah, & Damrow being red voters. CC strikes me as the most religious, thus most likely to be a Trumper. The rest who weren’t there (minus Oz, she wasn’t there, right?) might just come from heavily red families/areas, and thus wanted to avoid the public spectacle, despite being a Harris supporter.

Please get a grip. There was literally multiple Harris Walz signs posted all over in the video. But wait you said this isn’t political at all.. Her meeting the girls wasn't political but make your arguments as you will. She wasn't prostelitizing nor discussing anything political in nature. I have signs on my lawn and can still water it without it being a political statement. I can even greet my neighbors, neighbors who disagree with me from said lawn with political signs and it isn't a political conversation. Seems I'm not the one who needs to get a grip.🙃 🙄 You do realize only a small clip was filmed? Perhaps a conversation about the campaign or being VP came up. The current VP of the USA met the team with the current Gov of Wisconsin. Both are politicians. The signs in the background were political. I’m not saying I’m for or against this but are you really willing to die on a hill that this can’t be viewed as political… everything is subjective. Of course it’s a good opportunity for the team, yes. But regardless it is political Must be a difference of generations. I’m Gen Z and we like to keep it real.

Part of the team met with the current VP/one of the candidates for President. Cool. Let's all move on and not ruin the good thing we have going.

So now you're manufacturing reasons to not post a video. Got it. Not generational differences...I keep it as real as anyone on this board. I'd attribute the difference to..."Other factors."

There’s no point in discussing why some of the team wasn’t present. Maybe they had a prior commitment, were in the gym or didn’t want to attend (which is fine. Freedom of choice) This is a very diverse team, and I’d like to believe everyone is very open minded. 7 foreign players, 3 of Asian descent, 1 with dyslexia, and one dating another woman, who was also an athlete at UW. The chemistry of the team is great, and that’s what matters. The rest..? Who cares! This was a very cool opportunity that they will never forget. Anyways 1 day until game time. Go Badgers go!

So, what time do you think the line forms outside the Fieldhouse tomorrow?
I say 8 am for the die hards, 5 pm for the rest.

Schumacher posted a tiktok where she was saying she is going through a chest cold right now. Could be why she didn’t meet Harris, but more importantly I hope she is good to go tomorrow & her performance is not affected

So there could be something 'going around' in the UW world or Madison more generally. Hope it isn't 'running through the locker room'.

Kind of funny to me that of the 10 players there only 4 of them are American haha! You have 3 Canadians, 2 Poles, and a Serbian.
The rest maybe red. That's why it's a bad idea for the team.
I think that players having different political beliefs is very common and can be bridged a lot more easily, even in this tense time, than you give them credit for.
