Pukis will not play setter for the USNT, they won't accept the liability in the block created by her size. International-level outsides will terminate on her every time. Poulter only hangs 'em up if she is forced to medically. Otherwise she's the starter and for a backup I think you look for 6'0" or taller setters in the up-and-coming group. Shaffmaster, Fairbanks, Stucky, ... Miner maybe but I think she's actually well below her listed 6'0" so she would have to straight-up outset the other competition. Pro and international competition will differentiate them. Maybe Reilly and Starck as well but I think they're too young for the 2028 cycle. As for system, I just don't think it matters. You've got 6 subs and only single re-entries by the starters, so you're running a 5-1 and then shaping it to your personnel. I think the days where coaches could win matches for their teams over the long run based on their system is over; it's all mini tactical adjustments, figuring out who plays best together and building cohesion. (edit: I see Pukis was listed 5'11" in college and I can't find a pro height for her. I don't care - my eyes say she's 5'9" and doesn't put up a big enough block to bother pro outsides) I am by no means an expert but I was always really impressed with SKT at Texas when they won the natty, granted she was setting Eggleston, Skinner, Oneal etc. and was having Fleck and Halter passing. Has she been good as a pro? Never going to happen. I'll wager with every Texas fan.

And Pepito is an orange. If you know anything about orange cats, you know that they are just... special. And orange bois only have two brain cells to begin with, so he needs to protect them at all costs. So, so, true

Have we figured out Tosia’s real height yet? In that now infamous video clip, she looked possibly taller than Booth?!?

Has she been good as a pro? I'm not an expert either, I rarely watch anything outside Italy and the US league (soon to be leagues - but frankly PVF is not attracting Olympic-level players). So I know some are really high on SKT, but I couldn't tell you one way or the other. Perhaps I should have put a caveat in my prognostications.

Now that is some content to get behind! Cats having neurological disorders is actually fairly common (or not uncommon). Sometimes it is from a virus at birth that makes them wobbly. And Pepito is an orange. If you know anything about orange cats, you know that they are just... special. I have a close friend whose cat is a young male blond/orange american short hair street cat that adopted her in NOLA. That cat is one of the most charismatic animals I have ever met, and he knows it too. He just walks into houses like he owns them, I guess because people in NOLA would let him. Four separate families tried to adopt him while I was taking care of him, and I've had to carry him out of three houses as kids sat frowning with their arms crossed. It scarred me! Two of those families adopted cats within the month. (The others already had cats and dogs.)

EMP and SKT have been invited to the USA gym/played on C teams. Ashley Evans has played with the A team, but her time is likely running out. Signs point to Miner and Fairbanks as the current college setters most likely to get the invite, partly because Starck and Reilly are so young. Badger related edit: Hilley is unlikely to continue to play with the national team as more setters who choose to play in higher level leagues enter the equation. I personally believe that Hilley and Gray are both equal with each other but in terms of mindset now, Hilley sees Volleyball as a hobby now with her job being the main thing. In contrast, Gray sees Volleyball as her main thing.

I could see CC, Sarah, & Damrow being red voters. CC strikes me as the most religious, thus most likely to be a Trumper. The rest who weren’t there (minus Oz, she wasn’t there, right?) might just come from heavily red families/areas, and thus wanted to avoid the public spectacle, despite being a Harris supporter. Younger College educated voters tend to vote Democrat but I think CC can see through the horror of the Trump campaign since his campaign is based on hate.

It's great they got to meet her! The governor is such a loyal UW volleyball fan. I'm sure it meant a lot to him, too. 😻 Smrek seemed extra excited. Also I think the coaches were off camera. If only Smrek is a dual citizen which I don't think she is.

Why are we getting our undies in a bundle of whether this is political or not and trying to pass judgment? There are religious people who are democrats, gay people who are republican. We shouldn’t make generalizations and then apply them to specific players. A players absence may ne nothing more than a conflict. If I had the opportunity to meet George Bush or Barack I’d do it. It’s about meeting someone at the higher leadership levels not necessarily political affiliation. I’d want to meet Kamala if I could. Let them enjoy the experience!!!

While that is true, they are people who are politically motivated wouldn't want to meet with that president who's on the opposite party they support. I know of sure if I was in the Badgers women's position and Donald Trump or George Bush came to campaign in Madison Wisconsin and met up with the team, I know I wouldn't attend for sure out of principle. I can imagine that CC may not like anyone with a D next to their name and prefers to meet up with someone with an R next to their name regardless of who it is hence possibly why she wouldn't want to show up. At the end of the day, people are what they are even if we disagree with them.

Have we figured out Tosia’s real height yet? In that now infamous video clip, she looked possibly taller than Booth?!? I've looked at the VP meet up video and Tosia standing next to Carter, I think I would have her in that 197 - 198cms range or 6'6" as I said in one of my previous post regarding Tosia's true height. I think Carter is about 201cms aka 6'7". Hopefully Punzel could clarify Tosia's true height since that's what they did with Anna since she was 6'8" and I think Punzel then reported that she grew to 6'9" (possibly 6'10") though. I think Anna is about 207 - 208cms which is about 6'10". The same could be said about Devyn being about 190 - 191cms or about 6'3" and CC being about 188cms or about 6'2".
