on the bright side, next year we will have a whole new court of starters with no bad habits (yet) that we won’t be tired of!

Back row fell apart. Saw alot of balls fall to the floor on our side untouched. Not so on Nebraskas side. Dev should be OPP going forward, Smrek shrinks when up against a top front line like Nebraskas.Im not feeling good about a successful rematch against Nebraska on the road. Smrek's average against the top teams over her career are higher than Devyn's and I would wager that right now lmao....This is like suggesting sitting Sarah Franklin because her average this season against top teams have been absolutely sus. Dev has played well in past season as OPP. She'd be more efficient then Smrek going forward, lol. Smrek was our top momentum killer tonight.

Well, that was disappointing.
No way we're getting a top 4 seed now.
This did not look like a top ten team. Not at all. They've regressed in passing, in defense, in shot selection, and in communication.
Sigh. Back to the film room.

And Wisconsin literally outscored Texas in the last two sets with Smrek on the floor but got blasted off the court otherwise?

Thinking about next year kind of scares me especially with Booth regressing compared to last season. Breaking in a bunch of new players will be fun, but if there aren't a couple high level transfers being added it could be a developmental type season.

Compared to a week ago though, I think the only change is the level of competition. If Purdue is an A, Huskers are an A++ and Bucky is not on that level, at least not yet.

Its been a problem often this season vettkng blocked far to often whrn shes 6'9" and hits misfires WAY too often.

A loss where they forgot how to pass, the teams made god knows how many unforced hitting errors, and Booth got killed on RS blocks the entire night and no one bothers to pull her or at least tell her to just cheat to the RS a bit maybe is different.

I hope for next year we can have a very solid back row unit. That’s the one position on the team with everyone returning & having an incoming freshman who is highly regarded. We overall just need better digging & passing. But then with the loss of both our outsides, there could be some disrupt in the backcourt improving because I do feel like Orzol & Franklin are our best passers. Lola 3rd, but inexperienced & ultimately still finding her feet in the libero position. She is no where near what we need as a final product to end up with the natty back in our hands

Its been a problem often this season vettkng blocked far to often whrn shes 6'9" and hits misfires WAY too often. Smrek has a higher career hitting percentage than Devyn in her career and Smreks also hitting approx .350 on the season as a pin before this game - you don’t bench your all American going forward because of one match. And as to the season - we all know it’s because of a new system and it takes a while for players to connect for example Texas last year. Yall need to chill out, we lost, we had a bad night and that’s it. It’s all mental at this level of the game.

Dev didnt have a good game but Anna Tonight played much worse then Dev against Texas last season tonight. Its been a problem often this season vettkng blocked far to often whrn shes 6'9" and hits misfires WAY too often. That's great. Yet Smrek has always showed up in the latter rounds of the tourney: Final 4 Louisville: 20Ks .704 Final Nebraska: 13Ks .429 Elite 8 Pitt: 13Ks .286 Elite 8 Oregon: 10Ks .400 Final 4 Texas: 13K .522 Robinson: Final 4 Louisville: 9Ks .389 Final Nebraska: 6K .000 Elite 8 Pitt: 21Ks .439 Elite 8 Oregon: 9 Ks .391 Final 4 Texas: 4Ks .071 Soooo...one match across the 5 late-tourney matches they've played together that Devyn has outplayed Anna while Anna significantly outplayed her in the other 4? The ceiling is higher with Anna, and that's not really a debate
