The team are favourites against USC and UCLA but travel fatigue is no joke, hopefully the team start flying out to LA now so they can shake the jet lag off. I'm curious to find out what the prep is for this week. Do they move practice back? Sleep schedules? I'm sure some of these girls are usually asleep by the time that USC game is set to end. The positive thing is that it's 1000% easier to travel from east to west than the other direction. It's just much easier to function when your body clock is 'ahead of schedule'; the team will feel like they have oodles of time in morning since an 8 am practice is 10 am body clock time. It's just easier for people to stay up later than it is to get up earlier.

I love CC's expression. "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?" Yeah. Rewatching this is EPIC! I was so dumfounded by what had just happened as I was watching I did not pick up on all player reactions.

Going to west coast makes me feel like all the other superhumans that can get up early and feel good... for about 2 days.

I think she would've been a great addition to Athletes Unlimited and Pro Volleyball Federation.

I think she would've been a great addition to Athletes Unlimited and Pro Volleyball Federation. There were interviews/quotes from her saying things along the lines of 'People don't understand that four years of college VB is really a dozen years of playing and training leading up to it. So when I walk away, people don't understand how I can do that. But I've done everything in VB I wanted to do.' Not direct quotes, of course, but that was the gist of it. The last I heard, she had taken a job as some sort of financial analyst in Milwaukee; her masters was in "Business Analytics".

I believe in Milwaulkee. She does some club coaching and camps in the summer.

We've seen some ads for vball clinics she's been involved with in the Milwaukee area. Think she probably has a pretty lucrative career.
Life in VB is hard for liberos. Easier now with LOVB and PVF, but probably not as lucrative.

After the team of JVs got dispatched at Field House on Saturday, we are in the same place we were 7 weeks ago-the two best teams in the B1G are Nebraska and Wisconsin.
The two sweeps in the past 10 days also revealed very different things. Nebraska swept Wisconsin, not because their players were “better” they won because their players played better that match. A couple of Wisconsin players were just off the charts poor. I doubt that will be the case again in Lincoln. The Wisconsin sweep of Penn St was telling because onWisconsin just has more talent-much more talent. If both teams played their best ten times, Wisconsin would win a vast majority of those matches. Add in that one of the ex-Nebraska JVs now playing for PSU was slightly injured and PSUs star OH was overwhelmed, well, PSU had no chance. Even at setter, Fuerbringer is just better. A year ago in the U19 tryouts Fuerbringer was selected over Starck, so USA VB agrees.
Anyway, now that the pretender has been revealed we can get around to see who is the best in the B1G, Nebraska or Wisconsin. I doubt the match in Lincoln will determine much, that will come in their 3rd match in Louisville. . We'll see how it goes. 🏐

Likely if they win it, they’ll have home court advantage until the Final Four.

Likely if they win it, they’ll have home court advantage until the Final Four. Was thinking this, if they beat Nebraska and win out do you think that's enough for top 4 seed? Nebraska-a lock for top 4 unless they fall aprt/lose to multiple bad teams Pitt-same Louisville-they play pitt and stanford the last weekend, if they win both (and win the 4 games before that), they're a lock, if they beat stanford and lose to pitt, still probably a lock, if they lose to both, they are in danger but honestly still probably top 4 Creighton-They will probably win out, will rely on other teams cannibalizing each other to be top 4 PSU-if they win out, definitely top 4, if they lose to nebraska but win the rest, then probably interchangable with creighton, if they lose to purdue (or anyone else) I think they are out of top 4 Stanford- If they can beat louisville and pitt then they have shot, if they lose to louisville the chances are very low, if they lose to Pitt but beat Lousiville then maybe don't think any other teams have a chnace at hosting besides the above, corrct me if i'm wrong i think we are a top 4 seed if: we win out, regardless of what anyone else is doing Or if we lose to nebarska but win the rest: then we'd benefit from: PSU taking 2 more losses and louisville/Pitt beating stanford. If that happens I think it is wisconsin vs creighton for the last spot, up to committee if they value strength of schedule vs a better record against a weaker schedule. i like wisconsins chances. It would help if wisconsin can dominate everyone and keep it close with nebraska in this scenario. I care more about a top 6 seed, I don't want them playing at Nebraska or Pitt, i feel much better about the teams chances against those two teams at a neutral site. Regardless of seeding, texas showed last year any team can win if they are talented and playing their best volleyball in December, which I think this team will be. But fun to speculate
