Skinner, Mendelson would be a great pick up. And the WBB, needs her too. I though something just came out that MM was putting all her focus in VB now. My guess would be the most likely spots if that’s true is 1 Minny 2 psu 3 Florida |

Do we think getting another MB will solve everything for UK in 2024? I think we need a more terminal OPP. I'm not sure how Wilson does on either pin in this offensive system. DeLeye is gonna be a straight stud this year and Lamb is very worthy. I believe in Bultema/Goetz or whoever they bring in but Bultema needs to play. She chose UK over very elite programs and want to see her in Blue for 4 more years. I think we should go after MB (for depth purposes if Goetz is back) and a terminal OPP. If Goetz isn't back, that's a whole new game and we need a stud MB and another for depth purposes. I agree about Wilson, but we should be more optimistic about her on the right. I think we'll see Dailey on the RS personally, and Benjamin as the other OH.
I think an elite middle could absolutely be a game changer for UK, and agree a back-up is necessary if Goetz isn't returning.

No offense to Dailey, Wilson, or Benjamin but we really need someone more proven there to take the place of Rutherford in this offense. Especially when you look at what Texas is doing in the portal and all that Florida has coming back and in. Recruiting and development is taking a back seat in this new age of college athletics unfortunately so if Kentucky wants to remain a top tier program they have to start playing the portal game harder. Also, does anyone know if Benjamin and/or Thigpen are enrolling early? I know Skinner hasn't been for early enrollees in the past, but with some of the uncertainty it seems like it would be a good idea to get both here now for spring workouts and practice. |

It was more of a jab at how bad the WBB team has become. If Goetzinger stays, we need a backup. If she doesn't stay, we need a stud middle and a backup, if not 2. Bultema is going to be a stud. I'd love to get a grad student OPP(Ndiaye) for a year and the Daily step in. I can also see Benjamin beating our Lamb is she doesn't stay consistent. |

I find most of your posts pretty pessimistic. We won a National Championship with two OHs ranked in the 30s, a 5'10 OH-to-MB convert, and a freshman MB also ranked around 30. You seem to expect UK to transform into Texas, Nebraska, or Stanford over night. It ain't happening. It's fine to want the top recruits and transfers, but the doomsday posting every time UK doesn't get one is tired.

I'll take Mendelson or Kjolhede. Looks like both are being heavily targeted by UK. Not seeing any indication of an OPP. Hear me out.. DeLeye/Benjamin on the OH.. Lamb as the OPP?? Love Erin's arm. If Benjamin can pass like everyone is saying.. this lineup would be a lot of fun. I always thought the transition from OH -> OPP is so much easier than OPP -> OH mostly because of out of system swings you get on the OH. Lamb came in as a MB.. can she play all 3???

OH to OPP is hard because hitting on the right side is more difficult than the left for right-handed players (path of the ball, yada yada).

Lastly, Kjolhede and Blackwell over Mendelson, IMO.

I'm not really trying to be pessimistic, but I call things how I see them. Skinner has built an amazing program here, but the last three years they've fallen short in the tourney after a great run in 2021. He's established a good enough name for himself as a coach and the players he's developed to sign some top transfers imo. I hope Dailey is as good as you say, that would be great. But if she's not and we have holes in the middle I'll be a little disappointed. I'm like one of four Kentucky fans who post on here so I obviously care about the program a good amount. I just think the game is changing with the portal and NIL and want us to keep up, that's all. |

Goetzinger won’t be returning for UK per her Instagram post. Not sure of her plans but leaves UK with one MB for 2024 as it currently stands. Need some portal pickups.
