I wonder why Choboy was not at practice on Day 1? Getting a tattoo?

I yearn for the day where we can simply talk about an athlete's game, rather than try to dissect their personal life, based on a fan's interpretation of a small tattoo Idk. Part of bringing mental health awareness into D1 sports is understanding these athletes are more than just the sport they play. They’re allowed, and in recent years, encouraged to share with fans different aspects of their lives. Getting a clearly symbolic tattoo in a visible spot is part of bringing that awareness to fans, imho Sorry for the delayed response. That's...really fair. I was probably a little too quick to criticize. Just know how this board can occasionally be a cesspool of gossip.

(That said you can never practice serve-receive enough)

Combo of both. Harper passed nails all season and then broke down at the end, her tournament passing stats were bad. It's a long season and she carried a lot of responsibility for a freshman. Not entirely surprising she fell off. If Harper is passing well, along with Lexi, you can adjust and adapt to some other people struggling in that area, but alas she was a big ole target herself that match and Texas had the elite serving to exploit it.

Would expect for have a DS for back row Unless they DS Beason (they won’t), or pass 2 with Lexi and Murray (maybe?), both left pins are typically in the passing rotation even when front row, aren’t they?

Nebraska has been using a DS for one of the OH's for several years. I'm thinking they have been doing it most of the time since Lexi Sun graduated.

Should be practicing serve receive 24/7 and I know some of yall agree with me because, even as a Texas fan you guys were basically perfect everywhere else lmao I disagree. Practicing setting way out of system (like we see in the video) and out of system hitting is the right call. Nebraska has been one of the strongest serve receive teams the past couple of years, and, other than the championship game, last year was no different and I'm sure they'll continue to practice it. But a big issue during the championship game was, once Nebraska was out of system, it was a struggle for them to put the ball down. Being able to sideout even when out of system is very powerful and is part of what kept Texas in the top 10 for so long even when their serve receive has not been the best.

Nebraska's serve receive is fine. I'm so tired of people talking about that Championship Game like that was a true representation of the norm. The Huskers had a bad night and Texas served out of their minds. It was an aberration. I hope Husker opponents think they can gameplan for Nebraska being poor in serve receive.
