i think what really turned it for me was when she clearly yelled "f you b****, let's go!" through the net when she blocked Molly Phillips during the championship match. Before that, I was actually a bit of a Murray fan but was like ummmmmm. It was even more ironic when Asjia gets a yellow for yelling "c'mon" through the net twice. wish her nothing but the best <3 Chirping through the net is commonplace in the B1G. The men do it at all levels of the game (see the LBSU-UCSB match from last season), so why are you being critical of women doing the same thing? So over the infantilization in women’s sports that creates double standards for athletes. 🙄

The fact that Nebraska fans include the bald assh0le in section B15 who yelled stupid sh¡t at the players when they errored during the scrimmage, thinking he was a stand-up comedian, until I turned around and told him to stfu bc this wasn’t his match to call. THANK YOU!

I'm being critical of Murray saying "f*** you b*tch, let's go" to Molly Phillips and not receiving a warning, yet Asjia will pretty much always get one and she yells "c'mon!" It would be silly if me, being a Texas fan, were critical of women players chirping through the net when I know it's something we're pretty much always doing (which I love btw).

So over the infantilization in women’s sports that creates double standards for athletes. 🙄 I mean swearing and saying F U B is not needed, at any level, at any gender.... Lets not make excuses. I don’t think about making excuses. Actions have consequences. To me it’s a sign she’s losing composure. If I was Phillips I would have just laughed and pointed at the scoreboard, and watch her really lose her mind. Then laugh some more every time Murray shanked a serve receive, which was many. This from a player who played no where close to a freshman level all season long. I feel like the whole Nebraska team looked deflated and defeated long before Murray got aced on match point. Maybe screaming F U B contributed to that. I think it’s fair to say Murray has some growing up to do on any number of levels. No judgement. As Jesus said I need to worry about the plank in my eye before getting too worked up over Murray’s splinter. I’m sincerely rooting for her. She’s very talented, fiery, and passionate. She’s a team leader in all kinds of ways, even if she’s not a captain. The team is gonna to take cues from her inherently simply from being on the floor for 6 rotations and because she’s extremely charismatic. Nebraska had a magical season last year, played in the last match of the season but fell short of a national championship. How far they make it this year will depend in large part on Murray’s contributions, even if it’s not exclusively on her. I think there’s a level of passion that lifts up the team, and there’s a level of passion that indicates a loss of self control. I think she was exhibiting too much of the latter in the championship match, and the F U B moment was simply an example.

What was over the top for me was Murray being caught on surveillance cameras admiring Phillips’ 3 national championship rings on her fingers outside Phillips’ apartment in L.A. in the offseason.

Haleigh Washington, my favorite non-Nebraska player from the B1G, always said FU to players across the net when she blocked them. 😂 In fact, she did an interview within the past couple of years talking about the things she says across the net but never intends to be offensive. If you’re sensitive to this, you should never sit courtside at a B1G match. 🙄 Nebraska fans, do you all remember when Nicklin and a Michigan player (I won’t name) got into it across the net? They were going at it the entire match, and at the end of the game, they hugged it out under the net.

I can’t say for certain, but I have a feeling there was no hugging going on with Murray and any Longhorn players after that match.

Earlier Today Sadly, there are reports that the Huskers ran out of time before they ran out of fans that wanted to meet them. I feel for those who waited in line for hours only to be disappointed. Update On the topic of another incredible fan-player interaction from the scrimmage that shouldn’t go unnoticed: Do you all remember the little girl from the Volleyball Day pep rally held at the Coliseum? She was the girl who cried and spoke about Rebekah being her role model and asked for Rebekah to come to the stage, who went up and hugged her. She was at the scrimmage sitting with Allick’s family wearing Rebekah’s jersey with her hair done like Rebekah’s. How impactful and beautiful that this girl now gets to attend our matches and sit with her role model’s family. 🥹🥹

There were two cards (one red, one yellow) given in the championship match, neither went to Nebraska. Please BFFR right now...
