Isn't Bruntmyer a setter? It's what she played in HS and club and i thought the position committed for Pepperdine? I just went off what she was listed as in LSU's commitment announcement, but definitely wouldn't be surprised if she gets work as a setter. Also definitely surprised about Roberson, but added the addition of Rumur Rouille from LIU. Think she could be good for us. She had 7 total blocks in the NCAA tournament against Nebraska. Obviously she’s coming from a much conference which is much lower in competition, but it’s good to see she can put up defensive numbers like that against the national runner ups. She is a 2x NEC second team and is the 2024 NEC scholar athlete of the year. |

Her mother was a setter for LSU and she played with Jill Wilson, while Tonya was an AC. And her dad played baseball there too I believe, so pretty deep ties. |

I found an article that came out yesterday about her and it says that she was a 15-u club all American and she comes from a pretty good club team. don’t think she is highly ranked right now, but could be an up and coming defensive threat by the time she gets to college |

Did Echter land anywhere? Echter did enter the portal but ultimately it didn’t work out with the few schools she was interested in for a grad degree. She graduated from LSU in May and no longer pursuing graduate school or volleyball. |
