Pitt won the last two 27-25 and 26-24. Very entertaining volleyball but lots of errors on both sides. Both these teams should be very good next season. Pitt has a lot of good options in middle so I’ll be interested to see who they end up going with.

Starck, Jurvicius, Mendelson, Trammell, Hannah, Mruzik, Grimes. Falduto played backrow for Hannah and A. Starck did for Jurvicius. I would be surprised to see different starters than that come August. The same players played every set except Markley played the 3rd and 4th as a RS in place of Jurvicius and then as a OH for Mruzik.

Looks like a super crowd -- at least from Pitt's twitter posts.

Her passing needs some work and her serve is super inconsistent but she attacked well, especially out of the back row. She looks a lot more comfortable on the outside than the right side and I expect that if VVG struggles this season Fisher won’t be hesitant to put Bayless in. Also, Stafford seems like she may be better soon. No brace or anything and she was fully dressed in her uniform just not with knee pads on. Hopefully a good sign!

Pitt is down 2 all American starters. I wouldn’t read too much into them getting worked by a strong psu team Which two? Monks and Nwokolo. Both our middles. And Stafford, too, is getting the spring off as she recovers from surgery. We should be able to figure MB out by August. Bri Kelley and Rachel Jepsen were out most of last year with injuries, and Jones and Girabaldi are early enrollee freshmen, who look the part, but have only been on campus for 3 months. No worries.

I don't think that's what he meant considering Monks and Nwokolo will not be on the roster this fall lol.

Penn State has all of the pieces, they certainly kept Pitt on their toes. I'm excited to see them this fall. Starck is as good as advertised.
Bayless was fearless from the service line, but her passing was shaky. She played well overall though and I'm excited that we have some good depth on the outside. Klika did not have a good day, which is rare for her. I'm certain she'll be ready to go for the fall.

Thanks. Was referring to who was out injured for the match, but good reminder of who all graduated. I’ll miss seeing Nwokolo on the Pitt lineup. She was always really fun. Best of luck in the ACC next season!

Rachel Jepsen is going on an lds mission in Paris, and will be gone 18 months, so this season and next season.
I'm expecting for this season, Pitt will once again be in the transfer market for a MB. Not that I don't think the two freshman wont be ready to go in August, but we need the depth now.
